    Hand Protectors
    Find your Load Sensing Proportional Valve (LSPV) adjust it up about 3/4” and it will shift your braking bias to your rear breaks. My 02’ adjustment was bottomed out (from factory) and the rear pads never wore down. Probably because the bias was towards front.

    Simple adjustment that requires loosening two nuts and raising the lever on the valve up. In my case, I adjusted UP 3/4” from absolute bottom. Now my braking distances have shortened. Truck squats a bit more in stopping versus diving/tipping.

    Nice! Glad it helped out @Professional Hand Model.
    Now that the bias is farther back, you'll be less likely to warp the front rotors too (which are frankly undersized for the first gens).

    I'm 99% sure there isn't one on the Sequoia. The brake bias is built into the master cylinder specifically cause it has calipers in the rear instead of wheel cylinders.

    Yep I just looked I don’t have one. Mine stops pretty good now that I’ve done all the brake work and upgraded the front brake hoses along with the new master cylinder.

    That's definitely a tundra axle based on the e-brake. But weird there is no bracket. Chase the soft line up to the driver's side frame rail. It should connect to a hard line. Hard line normally connects to the LSPV and two hard lines that run to the master. Even my 06 DC had it so I'm not sure why yours wouldn't.

    Wait a fucking second.


    With that zoom in I can see the bracket welded to the axle with this pic. I also see that you have some rather large blocks. A lot of guys that do drop brackets with massive lift blocks in the rear cut off the whole LSPV arm and zip tie the up to the frame so the arm is maxed out and get max rear brake pressure bias. You had a LSPV at one point.

    The truck has a 6" lift from RCD on it. I wonder if that messed with geometry and reach of the hardware/system and it required being moved. I'll post an update when I crawl under and have a closer look.

    That explains it to me.
    Definitely chase the soft line up and see if the LSPV is still there. Doubt they removed it, but you can remove the whole thing if you remove the return bias line and cap the T fitting that feeds the return bias line to the front brakes. That's what I did with my first gen taco and ran a Willwood proportioning valve for the rear bias on the pressure line.

    It's interesting you have a T in your brake line and I've got two separate lines to the frame then to the front of the truck. I was wondering if anyone recognizes the block my brake lines run to in the upper left corner of my picture. The placement of the hard lines and holding brackets that run along the top of the cross member make everything look OEM.

    No, I installed the rcd 6” lift kit myself and also replaced rear drum brakes with disk brakes. Way better
