@Porschetech29 bumper is hella sick. I’m sure it would look just as good on a 3rd gen.. if not better :boink:

I think I need blackout curtains. I have a vinyl shade (and a lava lamp; kidding) but there're gaps on both sides that let bright light in. A neighbor had a barking dog (someone else must have killed it) so I run an air purifier for the noise, plus a humidifier for the noise and one of these:
    https://www.walmart.com/ip/LectroFa...MIvqTToaar3gIVk9dkCh2hXQoiEAQYAiABEgInCfD_BwE

I like it because it's tiny so I take it when we travel ('cause now I'm pretty reliant on the white noise).

    :fistbump:

Stay away from Fox coilovers on the first gen. They'll smash your brake lines, it's a horrific design. The ADS look identical to the Fox but I've never seen anyone run them except the guy here whose name I can't recall but he had red bumpers (Jimmy?).

Give us more info Sunnier, start a thread in first gen land!

That is too funny. Most of us are going to be a bad influence if you just want a small lift.

So... where's your truck and what's it doing?

Yeah, Jimmy. Casper told me you're not a fan of Fox for 1stgen; that's exactly the kind of info I'm looking for. If you think ADS 2.5 is so like Fox it'll be a problem, I definitely want you to educate me. I think Jimmy dropped a shock... which is only funny because osidepunker loves Fox but hates ADS, and the two are current trail buddies-- both mechanical geniuses who fix each other's trucks and seem to get along well. Anyway, I wished it were easy, one shock and UCA that everyone agrees is best, so I could save and throw money at it and be good to go--but I guess that won't happen.

I'll start a thread tonight, when I'll be awake to answer up. Headed to sleep now. Have a fine day, y'all!

Dealership worked on it for 2nd scheduled maintenance and put dents and scratches in both front doors... hate to say this, it’s the second time they did this. So I’m waiting to have that fixed on there dime. If it’s going to be scratched, I wanted to be that person, not them.
The first scratch should be done by the owner ... just my ocd feelings.

“Small” as in 2.5-3 inch as opposed to a drop bracket lift. I thought I settled on the OME 612’s but now I’m toying with the idea of nicer shocks and keeping the factory wheels with 285/70’s (for now). So far I’ve learned a lot from everyone here, it’s a great group.

Thanks, just messaged him, I was looking at the 612 since the front end is stock but I’ve got an old mile marker 12k winch in the garage I could mount up to weigh it down a little for the 614’s.

:( These kind of life changes can set us back. I hope your sleep comes back to you. Sleep helps manage the rest. Pun not intended.
I'll see if I can find out more about what he's done to build his. Thanks!
Yeah, that was a bummer. It was a wake-up to me tho-, that I need to be better equipped: truck, knowledge, and tools.

Sorry to hear that Chris. You have my condolences. All I can say is that it gets better. Eventually. Helping your mom is a noble and right thing to do.

Thank you Paul. Cancer is a bitch! My mom has had it worse and her older sister passed in July. That’s why the Duster is now in the garage.

You would really be jealous if you knew what my job was for the last 16 years! Been engaged but she fucked that up. Had a few close calls but no kids. I’m youngish and not in a rush to get married and have kids. Not sure I’ll ever find a woman that would do the things I saw my mom do for my pops. If that makes sense.

It most certainly is. Lost one of my best friends recently. He was way too young...
So the Duster is an heirloom to be treasured. That's what you call a labor of love. Makes total sense.

Now you have my curiosity piqued!??! What could you have been doing for the last 16 years that would make me jealous???

Hmmmm....??? working in a chocolate factory run by big-breasted hookers??? Pornstar?

Thanks Mark, sorry for your loss. 14 months from diagnosis to passing really sucked. I was able to spend everyday of his last 5 months by his side. Got this on Father’s Day, he was my right hand man:

Oil boy is a joke from Dumb and Dumber(last scene).

I taught wakeboarding, waterskiing and wake surfing starting at 16. Then captained a Formula 330ss for cruises around the lake.
