This makes me sad! What about a used rack? I had a used rack put on my 4Runner several years ago. My buddy and I put it on (he’s a former Toyota tech). If you decide to trade, love my black Limited. Powder coat bumper and Pro Grille. Getting it ceramic coated next week. The swirls and keeping it clean drive me nuts but when clean it is a thing of beauty. Hopefully the ceramic helps.

 

I’m not going to read through all the comments . If you need stock suspension, I can see if I can track mine down. I gave them to a friend of my step daughters and he never installed. Let me know and I’ll see if he’s still got them. Yours if you need it. Yellow trd all 4 corners

If I ever get a new truck this would be my first mod. It can last 3-5 years and ranges in price to 500-2000 from my research. You can diy it for under 200, if your paint or perfect from the showroom it's very doable. You won'thave to wax of seal for years and it'll clean up much easier. Not to mention the ridiculous gloss@driverdog @SouthBoundSteve

And as for the sunroof. I have one and have used it maybe 3 times for 5 or 10 minutes. I don't even really open the cover for it. Definitely no loss of you don't get one. Plus it's something to go wrong or leak. I wish my truck didn't have one to be honest.
I do like my dual climate control but idk why lol. It's always in sync mode and I rarely have a passenger

Get limited or above. Features are great to have and up resale. You wont get color matched but will give creature comforts. If i could do it aagain i woul look platinum or 1794 with trd or package. Just because resale is higher for decals

 

Get the sport, I drive by the black and MGM ones at my dealer and drool.

 

My wife has a 2018 Limited 4Runner. Too much chrome. She likes it.

Good call on the Sport. I only wish it had power folding mirrors. I'm not a sunroof guy.

 

Does Mountain States have one? Travis Mitts, one of their online guys, was pretty straightforward and will email you his best price without any haggling. Having his emails helped a lot in my negotiations.

For me it came down to my wants:
Cement color
Black leather
Sunroof
Dual climate control (for the wife)
BSM and cross traffic alert
4x4

They pretty much made my decision for me, Cement Limited it was. I’ll admit the power folding mirrors and memory seats were on the list as well but the cement color outweighed those two. To be honest I’m the only one who drives my truck so the memory seats weren’t a big loss. Power folding mirrors are cool, but I’ve never had a need for them so far...
as for the sunroof, some people like them some dont, just personal preference. I live in San Diego so we can pretty much use them all year round. I didn’t have one on my last Tacoma and really missed it.
I’ve looked long at hard at buying a new pro but I’m not a fan of the new colors and I can’t for the life of me figure out why they added a sunroof as an option but then removed BSM, parking assist and cross traffic alert. Really Toyota?
Plus you know there’s a small part of you that gets satisfaction in building a truck exactly how you want it.
