6inch pro comp lift-3 inch rear shackles

so after work I received my rear shackles, poly bushings and CB drop kit. I suddenly came to a halt. My question is with me having a 6inch lift stage 1 with pro comp, do I need to remove my rear blocks and AAL?

 

I started on my passenger side, by removing it. Then I went to put on my factory U-bolts when they were a pain in the A** to get in the slotted holes so I stopped there. Do I remove pro comp AAL in order for that to align in the slotted holes?

 

unless i'm reading this wrong you are intending on using the shackles to replace 1 of the 2 ways you're lifting the rear of your truck?? if this was the case i'd probably ditch the blocks only because they're easier to remove than pulling the leafs apart to remove the aal. however, i would guess a 3" shackle is probably closer in installed height to the 1.5" you get from an add a leaf so it'd make more sense to remove whatever is going to give you what you are after in terms of rear lift height.
also, before owning my tundra i installed an aal on the tacoma i had and found that disrupting the original leaf pack caused obnoxious squeaking over everything even though i greased between the leafs as per instructions so beware.

 

Same what I was thinking, just playing it safe on my end. Never removed leaf packs, simple or a pain?

 

removing the leafs is as simple as can be. repacking is a pain in the ass and i hope to never have to do it again as it just resulted in the squeaking i mentioned.
in all honesty i pretty much hated everything about my aal aside from the lifted appearance. along with being excessively loud it also bucked hard on small bumps (speed bumps especially) and i felt i would have been better off with shackles which at the time weren't an option for the tacoma... still might not be?

 

Just finished installing. Talked to coach builder , said everything stays. Sits they way I wanted it to.
