I just replaced my 1st Gen Tundra(wrecked) with a 2007 short bed CM dang I like this truck. I just had a freeway drive and man my kidneys and calves still feel like they are bouncing. Read a thread and became a member just now. Is the fix really just bushings? I am asking as an information gathering session the post ended in March 16 so I am wondering is this fixable like the thread said or do I have to live with it? I do alot of driving on CA freeways and they are rough anyways but if I have to just drive my Sequoia I will be less happy.

Mine had super bad bed bounce but my shocks were trash in the rear. Put on Fox 2.0RRs and it’s much much better. I’m sure some new leafs would make it perfect since it’s an 08 that has done a lot of off-roading. But tundras are known for the bed bounce even when they’re perfect, some weight in the bed gets rid of it. Check your shocks

Concrete highways are the worse. Some benefit of keeping the bed bounce tho . . .

Welcome from CO. The cheapest fix to minimize bounce is to replace OEM pressed in bushings for some poly's. A pain in the ass though getting the factory one's out.

ToyTec shackles are pretty damn good. And they sell poly bushings...I like mine.

    Welcome to the party!!

Start with shackles (get bushings with them), if that doesnt work get shocks. Sway bar doesnt help much with bounce in my opinion.

Yep...sway bar only affects horizontal forces on the rear suspension....

I'm in Carson City/ Reno/Lake Tahoe. The 580/395 has channelled segmented concreted mountain part that was crazy and unexpected. The worry is I go to socal and it is usually fun to watch my wife like the above pic but this will have complaining which I don't want. If I did it today I would drop two snow tires on the bed at minimum. Need to do a true fix.

When I replaced them did help.....but did not go away I've owned my truck since the other upgrade I also did was 5100 billstein shocks front and rear now I'm ordering coachbuilder shackles +2 maybe next week and that should help also
