    Anyone familiar with the Toyota VIP Remote start? My buddy had one installed on his 2018 4runner. After remote starting it will cut off when he opens the doors. Is this normal? Toyota says it is programmed like that for liability reasons. Anyone have any experience with this system? TIA.

    Yes completely normal. Made for safety/anti-theft.
    If you want something that doesn’t turn off get fortin.
