Finally got ESP storage installed today. Finally glad to have a spot to store stuff. Wasn't too difficult; measure twice, cut once

Came out nice! Glad you like it and that the install was easy, that's what we are striving for.

Looks great! But can someone tell me why in the hell Toyota didn't design the rear to allow for storage under the seat?

For the OP. First, thanks for having me. New here and new 2016 Tundra limited owner.

Is there an increase in road noise now?

We have the metal one in our Tundra and there is no difference in noise. Being its surrounded by foam and carpet and under the backseats, its deadening anyway. No feedback from customers either saying they hear more road noise.

Just got home with my new 2016 Limited ext. cab and it has plastic storage under the seats. To put a point on it, they are flimsy plastic. Looking forward to the metal replacements.

The instructions are pretty clear. If you go to ESPs website they have done good videos. Also make sure you have good tools. Like a sharp box cutter and a good carpet knife

Yeah, I found their Youtube installation video and it looks very easy to do. On the fence about buying one during their Memorial day sale this weekend.

On a side note, I see you're in the East bay area. I' m in Pinole, maybe someday we'll run into one another.

I have found it very useful. I don't like things rolling around loose and his is the perfect solution. See ya round town!

Well I finally got around to purchasing one and did the install the other day ... just to report the install was easy to do. No additional noise coming through. Thumbs up to ESP!

Carpet knife to make the cut in the carpet and Actually used a bread knife to cut the foam, worked like a charm.

Cutting the foam/padding was the worst part ... it was fairly messy and didn't help that on the day I did the install it was windy on my driveway. Blew the padding all around the back of my cab.

I love that my double cab came with a great place to keep my M4 with plenty of mags.
