i have a 2018 tundra with basic entune package. I updated my iPhone X to the new iOS and now it won’t let me play music from my phone either by bt or aux. worked fine before the update. Anyone else having issues?

You have to go to phone settings and remove your old phone then add it again

Thanks I will try this. So with the updated iOS it treats it as a new phone?

Mine is still working streaming my iPhone 7 through bluetooth. The head unit still randomly reboots itself as well.

Well that’s didn’t work. Clearly a compatibility issue going on. It pairs fine but can’t play music at all of my phone. Go freaking Car play already Toyota

It should’ve worked. I updated IOS, went to truck and no audio even though phone was paired. Had to remove my phone from stereo memory, then I repaired my phone. Got audio from phone speaker but not truck speakers. Turned off truck, restarted truck and bluetooth auto connected and had phone/music again

I have an iPhone 8 Plus. Updated to IOS 12. I can stream music and podcasts fine but message alerts and ringtones will not play through my car audio. What gives Toyota. I have the basic eTune system.

No. Still no answer. I have resorted to using Siri exclusively. I have ordered a Bluetooth button that should take the place of the home button on the phone. I can hear my message alert sound on the car radio but to hear the text I have to hold the phone’s home button and ask Siri to read the message. This will come through the radio. I can’t read it on the screen because the msssge connection keeps dropping. Entune is awful.

I just fixed this problem on my truck by going into my iphone settings to bluetooth, tap on the "i" next to the bluetooth name under my devices and turn on show notifications. Hope this helps

2018Tacoma is right for the text message issues. IOS12 defaults the "Show Notifications" to off. Happened to my truck and my wife's Enclave so not an Entune issue.

OP, do you have any music in your iTunes Library? Maybe that could be the issue.

I know.... I know..... Different vehicle BUT...

On my 18 Harley Road Glide, I had to have a song in my iTunes library in order to play Pandora via cord connection. So I downloaded on single song and it worked like a champ. Just a suggestion... Good luck.

Doesn’t seem to help with my 2015 Camry. I have “show notifications” turned on. Entune constantly asks me if I want to set up text messages. I say yes, then it works. I turn the car off. Next time I turn it in the connection is gone and it asks me AGAIN if I want to set up text messages. It is maddening!

Removed and re-added Bluetooth then enabled notifications.

    Success

    Thanks

Thank you, White Glide! Your solution did the trick for my connectivity issues with my 2016 4Runner, which had been driving my crazy. I don't understand the solution :notsure:, but it worked and that's the important thing. THANKS!!
