Must Do's...

i had the hard tri fold on my chevy which was nice because i could stand on it to wash it, but other than that it was heavier, and the seal wasnt waterproof anymore because its foam rather than rubber (both extang) like on my soft cover. also the black paint over the aluminum chips easily leaving you with a speckled top.
now i have the soft cover on my Tundra and i never thought i would like it more but i do. it lacks all the issues listed above and i like how light it is and kind of flexible to a degree that i can open it much easier. hopefully it will withstand a few feet of snow on top of it but as of now i definitely say soft top

 

My guy uses CeramicPro. I don’t have any experience with others.

@jordanpop1 has Modesta and his truck looks great too.

 

I chose modesta because for 1 the detailer is probably the best in central Texas. And it also requires virtually no maintenance. Just a simple hand wash once a month and run some speciality spray over it.

Also he guaranteed it for 10 years to me. Any issues I take it to him and he fixes it.

I was all in for 2,200 though with paint correction and primer. So that’s about 800-1000 more than a lot of what I’m seeing.

So far it’s awesome. First wipes right off of it and doesn’t leave residue behind

 

I had very similar reasons for going with the Ceramic Pro. My detailer offers levels from 1 year to lifetime. Simply wash regularly and take in once per year for them to professionally detail and inspect. No specialty spray but there is a fee for the annual inspection/upkeep.

My cost was a little less because I went with the 5 year warranty. I tend to not keep my cars for too long.

 

I bought a seat cover yesterday from Amazon, actually an XL waterproof quilted pet cover for the rear bench that goes over the sides. I just installed leather seats and when we go summer camping, the kids will climb in half wet and sandy from the beach. Where we RV, sometimes the campsite is all sand too. Was going to wait until next year but it went on sale. As a side note, use CamelCamelCamel to check Amazon prices. My floor is fine, Husky mats 100% coverage.

 

Underseat storage for sure. Coming from a Tacoma, I was less than impressed with not having storage compartments under or behind the back seats. Thank goodness for ESP Truck.

They’re actually available directly from Toyota. The OE part number is 00016-00069. A quick Google search of that will show some retailers, though.
