What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Thanks, looks like they are built like a tank.

 

To be honest they def go with my black truck because the insides look like a gloss black compared to the smoked chrome. Pricey but i like how it looks.

Yeah the pic doesnt do it justice. I wasnt gonna do it but my parts guy from Toyota ordered it to see how they would look and well i went home with them lol

If u have a non led OEM headlight are the harnesses required for the 19 pros or will the light just work plug and play?

Hey I still got these old school headlights. I've not only been known to be a bad influence on others but also fall to the peer pressure of making purchases I shouldn't myself.

Always looking for a deal I cant turn down. If someone has the black housing 18 LEDs that just upgraded to 19 and looking to get rid of them cheap, I could be your guy. I warn you though I feel no need to upgrade my headlights, I actually kinda like my 16 pro lights with the gtr kit, especially when they look like they do in the top pic at night. But I might just do it for the right price. Hmmm hmmm clear throat @darkknight2014 lol

 

Those OEM LED headlights are sick looking.

All this headlight talk makes me want to do another retro. There is a pair for sale locally I am considering picking up just to do as a project. However I have absolutely no time for projects haha!

 

What’s another $700? You know you want the black housing 19’s to go with your blacked out pro! I mean any other headlight just wouldn’t do your truck justice!

 

I wish I knew how to do the retro I would. But I hear ya on no time. I still have train horns, the arb breather kit, and couple other things laying around I don't have time to put on.

 

I do, but why should I pay $700 when I can get them for so much less from 1 of u guys when the 2020 LEDs come out lol.

No it looks like Toyota is starting to lean away from putting chrome on their trucks. Then again they might just do it. Think of all the money in parts they're making from guys like us who take a brand new truck and start buying more non chrome parts from their parts departments. At that rate I'd continue to be putting chrome on everything.

 

I replaced the SCS center caps with some TRDs that I sprayed with plasti dip. I might paint them for a better match. I wasn’t sure how I would like them versus the silver and red but the black gives the TRD logo a nice ghost effect.

Haha... Well those 18' OEM LED's don't require much of either!

 

Got everything from Crutchfield. No issues what so ever. The grid lines are removed, but not a big deal for me. I had to file the dash kit a bit as the screen tilts down when turn the ignition off. After a bit of filing the bottom inside edge the screen tilts w/o issue. You can't see where I filed the dash kit either.

 

While I already have the LED DRL headlamps, I went ahead and added the DRL assembly that my employer sells to Toyota in advance of the SEMA Show. Some might see it as too much/too many LED lamps up front, but I really like the look in person. Had the bezels around the lamp paint-matched to Blazing Blue Pearl as well.
