Similar in price. Plasti-dip is smoother.

They were sanded first. Possibly not as well as they should have been, but we did what we could with what we had.

I second plasti dip. I did my bumper ends, badges, and bulge at the beginning of this year and it all looks like I just did it except the bulge. It has a few chips in it, but I'm pretty sure that was my own fault for not doing enough coats evenly. It's cheaper than liner, you can get a can of black for about $6 (at least in my area) and it goes a pretty long way.

A local Toyota Dealership started going over the chrome for clients now. I think it looks good and it’s a lot cheaper than most other options. 3F4516AF-4D88-4A86-911C-E8E8A6B884BC.jpg

I found it at Home Depot. Lowe's and any auto parts store carries it as well. The brand is Plasti-Dip and if you go on their website you can get it in just about any color, but different colors are more expensive.

Do you have any pics? I also live in Columbus and have an MGM that I'm considering having the bumper ends bedlined on.

I’ve seen them live a few times. Been listening since around 2005 or so

Definitely not the place I'd expect to run into other BN fans. I've seen them 3 times, including on this last tour of theirs. They've only gotten better live each time I've seen them.

I did my front bumper caps and grill surround in Medium Quartz Gray Monstaliner. The Monstaliner isn't as rough as other liners (which I like) and it was super easy to do it myself. Didn't even remove the bumper caps... did it right on the truck.

Step 1 - Give a light sanding with 80 grit sandpaper
Step 2 - Tape off sensor holes, fog light openings etc.
Step 3 - Spray on some BullDog Adhesion Promoter
Step 4 - Roll on the bedliner and wait an hour or so
    Step 5 - Apply 2nd coat

The Monstaliner dries very hard and has some surface texture, but nowhere near what other brands would have. I've had mine done for 7 months now and not a single chip, scratch etc. with a lot of heavy offroading!!

I ended up swapping the grill for color-matched Cement, but I kept the bumper caps as-is. Since the bumper isn't right next to much cement, I can barely tell that the shade is slightly off.

    Total Cost - $60!!!!!!

    With bedliner surround:

    With just the bedliner end-caps:

Yeah I was talking about @TUNDRA375 . I'm pretty certain it was his truck I saw. Is your leveling kit spacers or coilovers?

Sure - Lift was 159.99, lift labor was 150.00 - wheels and tires depend on what you go with but might as well estimate 300 for each wheel and about 325 for each tire - mount/balance/align... ride out cost was 3,200.

Cost about $20 in rattle can bed liner, and whatever a roll of masking tape and a few 80 grit sanding pads cost. Popped out sensors. Knocked off the shine with the sander, washed n dried. Masked off back and box of truck. Sprayed a few coats. Did it on my old Tacoma too. Very robust and looked great for years that I had it before I sold it to get Tundra. If it ever gets to be looking a bit faded, a quick wipe with some 303 will have it looking like new again.
