Faint whistle or chirping sound when accelerating

I have noticed this for a bit now, whenever I accelerate I hear a faint whistling or chirping sound but as soon as I let off its gone.

 

I get similar, like a faint coil whine going from 2nd to 3rd, curios what will turn up on this.

 

Bad ground on something electronic?

 

I have a new 2018 and have noticed the same. It seems more pronounced when the truck is cold. Kind of like a faint belt slipping squeal or a heat shield vibrating at high frequency.

It really reminds me of a heat shied resonating at high frequency.

Any TSB's out there?

 

Not electronic, I don't hear it with the windows up or when the volume is up and no music plays. Just when there down. Most of the time can drown it out with music but times when I don't listen to it I hear it again.

 

Have u guys replaced the stock engine filter? With aftermarket?

 

OEM filter 5k miles. Been hearing this since day one. Mostly at 2k rpm just before shifts. As I said before it seems to be more pronounced when the engine is cold.

Almost like a whistling noise for 1-2 seconds just before the shift from 2-3 and 3-4.

I kind of figured it was just a characteristic of the engine or the heat shields vibrating until the entire system gets up to full operating temperature.

 

Probably the wire filter before the throttle body. It creates a whistle at tea under acceleration. It is normally more pronounced with a high flow air filter. You can replace the wire filter gasket thing with just a gasket and it goes away.

 

I do have a afe intake, I don't recall hearing when first installed it, but maybe it was just never pay to much attention.

 

Watched a video recently of a screen being removed in the throttle body that causes the low rpm whistle

 

I get a pretty loud whistle/screeching sound when I turn off the nannies and press the accelerator in an aggressive fashion from a dead stop ......I thought that was normal.

 

Just a K&N drop in filter here.

 

HAHAHA yeah thats happened a few times, but i think I got that one figured out

 

Is the throttle body gasket. There’s threads that explain it better. $10 and 10 min of time and fixed
