@TRON @sdhq_offroad , how do they work and feel as a step? Would you say it's pretty sure footed?
Gotta get some sliders that are family friendly

The SDHQ sliders look solid. Too bad I just placed an order for the White Knuckle sliders to upgrade from my All-Pro sliders (those will be for sale in a few weeks if anyone's interested). The WK sliders have 5 legs that mount to the frame and are made with thick-walled plates and DOM tubing, which should be good enough to scrape on rocks. :) Sliders made with 4130 would be nice but I'm sure they're going to be pretty expensive. :(

They are pretty low profile but yes I believe they'll do fine protecting from a car door
They work great, my fiancée and mother agree! My mom has back problems, but these sliders now enable her to get into my truck much easier. My 9 year old nephew can also climb up too and the tubing is close enough together you don't have to worry about a foot slipping in there unless its a toddler

The White Knuckle sliders are a nice choice as well. Our design uses only 4 supports but we moved the front support to the back of the body mount making them exceptionally strong on the front part of the slider that is most likely to be dropped onto a rock if and when you roll your front tire off an obstacle. On many tundra slider designs the front most 18-20" of the slider are un-supported making them far more likely to flex into the cab of the truck.

Our sliders are built with 2" .120 wall 4130 Main Tube and 1.75 .120 4130 wall outer tube which leads to them being extremely light while still maintaining their strength. We are still working out the final details but pricing in raw steel will be very competitive. We also offer powder coated options in the color of your choice.

As soon as these are completely ready to go I will get a new thread rolling for pre-orders, pricing and additional options. I would expect that to be in the next few weeks.

T.a.Co. Rock Therapy - Moab, Utah June 2016

Finally, I got all my Moab pics uploaded and ready to show off! After the loss of my Tacoma, I really didn't feel the need to make the 9 hour drive again only to take a back seat and watch everyone else go play. Well, SDHQ definitely played a role in my decision to make it happen! With their brand new rock sliders installed, I gained some confidence and decided it was MOAB or BUST! :headbang:

    T.a.Co. Rock Therapy - Continued

The next morning at BFE I gave Tron a good walk-around and all was good to go, surprisingly I didn't break anything! Definitely wont be hucking my truck anymore though since this truck is being built mainly for Tow pig purposes with "alittle" weekend fun here and there. With that said it was time to break Tron in, MOAB style. My buddy Ryan brought his Power Wagon and we already made plans to take on Hells Revenge in our full size beasts along with Andrew @snowtank and Nate @NateMob in their tacomas  Pic Cred: Ryan @RPS1030 and Nate @NateMob

Made it to the Hells Gate staging area and met up with another TacomaWorld group led by Billy of BruteForce Fab.

Once we got there it became clear that no one currently present had ever done Hells Gate before...and at first left everyone looking at the initial decent, thinking it was the gate. Little did they know, Hells Gate was down this nasty looking decent, around the bend and back up on the other side. Since I was the only one who had seen this obstacle before, well you may have already guessed it....I was first to go and lead the way!:drunk: My spotter, Ryan, deserves all the credit though since he had never seen Hells Gate before and yet, got me through the entire obstacle with some minor scuffs on my rock sliders! (Not to mention he spotted 3 more trucks all without fail)

Hells Revenge was soon claimed thereafter and after assessing the damage, I was happy with the outcome and even more satisfied with TRON! I definitely need a new rear plate bumper, something with slightly better clearance, and looking for a dual swingout tire gate. Other than that I think I'm pretty set with my armor!

Awesome! I wish we had areas like that here in the south. Not saying I would have the balls to wheel my Tundra but I would at least like the choice.

That's great to hear! When I saw your hucking picture on Instagram I was like.. "this couldn't be good." Good thing you drove away with no damage. A truck our size that's built with overlanding in mind has no business being in the air that high, haha.

    Oh one or two.
Honestly his truck did better then I would of thought. I was 10 feet away when he took the first one and I cringed as he came flying up wide open! He caught some major air and the rear only bounced one time. Not too bad for a big as truck with mid travel  to you @TRON

Those sliders are the icing on the cake and killing me here. Gotta figure out how I'm gonna get a set up here in Canada, without getting hosed by the shipping trolls!

Camp Four Hatchet - Mt. Bigelow, AZ June 2016
This was our last trip up to Mt. Bigelow to escape the first big heat wave in Tucson last month. Finally broke out the annex! It's been too hot lately for me to get motivated, and we have tons of wedding stuff going on as well to do anything till the weather starts to cool off. This time next year I will have to check out the FJ Summit in Colorado though!

    The Rim/Knoll Lake, AZ - July 2016

Unfortunately my bachelor party was postponed, but it all worked out for the better. Instead of 110+ degree weather outside of Phoenix, the fiancée, a couple friends, and I took a trip up to the Rim, NE of Payson, AZ near Knoll Lake. It was a pretty awesome spot away from the crowd and the weather was beautiful! It did get alittle warm in the afternoon, but only to be cooled off everyday with some light rain  I also took advantage of borrowing a trailer from my soon to be father-in-law, and towed our 3wheelers out!

    Overpacking as always....

First day out was great just hanging with one of my old high school buddies who also happened to be the only groomsman to show up... He even drove that Altima hiding behind the tent to camp o_O
    [IMG]

I definitely have too much shit....but hey it made camp comfortable and I like being prepared
    [IMG]

Late that night Jamie drove up in his brand new 2016 Tacoma, bringing his girlfriend and my fiancée who had to work late. We quickly got them setup and were ready to fully enjoy the weekend. Starting off brunch right the next day with some frozen margaritas, and the unveiling of our first camping trip with the Coolest Cooler!  Even though the Kickstarter program sucked and we waited 2 and a half years for the cooler, I really have nothing bad to say about it! The Coolest Cooler is nothing short of EPIC, which fits right in with my setup ;)

Our little buddy Johnny Cash posing for the camera....if you can find him haha, awesome little dude! He's a mini schnauzer

Looks like you had great time! I envy you ... doubtful I'll ever get to do anything like this so enjoy it while you can. Before you know it you'll be older like me wondering where did the time go ...

I love it when this thread is updated! It NEVER disappoints! Ok, I'm going to be a nosey bastard and ask how you mount your flag? Can I have some pics so I can try to duplicate? :oldglory:

I really want check out Colorado! Definitely think I'll be attending the Ouray FJ Summit next year
Thanks man! I actually made two small holes in the side of the flag where the grommet eyelets are at and slid my CB antenna through the fabric. Once the antenna came out the top hole below the eyelet I used zipties to secure the flag using the eyelet....hopefully that makes sense. I'll take a pic later on

Four Till Four Meet - Scottsdale, AZ August 2016

Our badass Tacoma friend Sean aka DefconBrix was kind enough to take some high quality, badass pics at the Saturday morning coffee meet! It was a spur the moment meet, but I think he's gunna make it a regular basis type thing since we had a decent turnout

Very awesome. And just think, a few here think a full size truck can't do serious off roading. I'm still LOL.
