It seems like they made it work. I don't know the details.

So, after looking at the intall video on the “large locking box” I think I’ve decided to mount a handgun safe under one seat, a simple storage bin under the opposite side, and connect a rifle sleeve to the bottom of the rear seat. (Once the truck is old enough to me that I’m willing to cut it!)

Stock for now, but have TRD Rear Sway bar for it.
Will 3rd gen crewmax seats fit in a 2nd gen crewmax. I would like to have the fold up option for the under seat storage, but my seats don't fold up. Thanks.

Take your Direct Materials, plus your hourly labor, and any additional costs (welding, screws, paint, lighting, etc). That should give you a reasonable cost

I have seen comments on this forum where people want the 2nd gen's sliding/reclining feature, so you might find someone who want to trade. I doubt that it will be a direct transfer - there will probably be a little fab involved.

I think I can produce these for around 6 to 7 hundred per kit? It could be shipped easily but would require some assembly. Give me ur thoughts.

What exactly are you producing? Some more pics and demonstrations would be great. To me it looks like an angle iron frame that creates a small lip to keep stuff from sliding around. Or do you mean the subwoofer box? Not knocking your work just wondering what you're making here?

This would include the CNC machined seat relocation bases to make room for all the above. Attached are my templates going to run another set for pics on here. They move the seat up 1 inch and forward 2 inches. Require not cutting of interior carpet or foam complete bolt in and can be removed and seat put back in OEM location if ever desired.

Almost finished with my plastic CNC templates will post pics. Next step will be to have them milled in plastic to verify exact fit and function. Once this is verified I will mill the finish product out of 6061 T6 aluminum bar stock.

My estimated cost in materials is about $250 to $300 including the storage frame.

They bolt to the seat rails with the OEM bolts and then there are new bolts facing upward to bolt the seats to. Kinda works like a sway bar relocation bracket.

My biggest challenge is allowing enough clearance in the tolerances of the brackets to allow them to move left or right about an 1/8th inch overall so that you have the same tolerances as the factory base plates.

How much for the storage frame? I’m interested.

The relocation brackets I don’t see a need for me personally since I won’t be installing a sub.

It looks to me like the 2 go together. You might not have enought vertical room for the frame without the brackets, since they raise the seat up a little. But I agree; I would also be interested in the frame only. (if I did not already had the ESP storage)

Would 1/2” - 1” spacers work as well?
Maybe need to swap out with longer OEM grade bolts.
Raising the seat that way and get the extra height needed.

I think there would be more of a market for something like that.
Honestly $600-$700 for not that much extra storage is a lot. Not everyone is looking to install a bass box behind the seat.

    Thinking out load here..

Mount some sliding rails on there and you’ll have tons of interest!

I like the sliding rails idea.
The frame seems nice to keep things in place.
Have you looked at the ESP boxes. I love mine.

I’ve taken a look at em..
Having this frame and combine with ESP or similar boxes would maximize storage.

So I am running the CNC for my bases, I believe I can make a set of bases without the frame for around $300 these would lift the seats 1 inch and move them forward 2 inches and be removable if desired to return the seat to the factory location.

1/2 or 1 inch spacers would work to raise the seat, however by lengthening the OEM bolts and only having small diameter spacers underneath I couldn't be sure that the increased leverage produced would be safe. By manufacturing the base plates the load is distributed the same as the factory.
