    Eggs always break in the cooler when you off road. And I hate liquid eggs in a carton lol

    So the best way to carry them is to buy an 18 pack and cut it in half so you have two 3x3 square cartons. Then you can put those cartons in a medium square tupperware and it fits perfect

    I use one of these suckers. Secret is to lay a paper towel over the top of the eggs. Haven’t broken a single egg yet.

    Do you lay a paper towel over the top? That tiny bit of cushion absorbs all the shock.

    This is awesome! Now I look to Tundras.com for stuff others look to Martha Stewart to for. :fistbump:

    What I have done, for smaller groups is crack the number of eggs I need for each meal at home, mix in a bowl (add milk) then, instead of cooking immediately, pour with a funnel into a leak-proof food-grade bottle (clean orange juice; water bottles, etc.) This takes little space in the food cooler. Pull one bottle out each time it's needed, pour the eggs onto the skillet, no at-camp prep required.

    ** I've seen camping breakfast pics others have posted that show others already know this trick, but sharing in case it helps anyone.

    Your trick would probably keep eggs freshest though, still in the shells! I'll give it a try next time up to feed a big group.

    @01erionracing @Stewie @jc153 @sdde4n

    I'm re-evaluating the routes because it looks like we're going to get a little rain in the middle of the day. Rain doesn't bother me and I'm not worried about camp. I know John knows a little about the mud in Anza, but I would like to avoid this:

    20160116_151559.jpg

    The chance of rain was reduced down to 50% today and 40% tomorrow so we might get lucky. I might reverse the routes and start from the south and work our way north. Either way make sure you have plenty of extra fuel! If you have 38ga tank you're good, but you'll need anywhere from 150 to 200 miles off road range depending on what we do.

    Also, make sure you bring lots of firewood!

    Matt, I'll text you a meet spot for noon. We'll probably meet at the Ranger station in Ocotillo Wells. Do you want me to bring my N2 tank so you can play with your bump stops???

    John, I'll text you a meet spot, it might come from my SatComm if I don't have cell service.

    Dean, you coming tomorrow morning? Jimmy will arrive Sat morning early. I'll send you both a pin for Fri night camp

    If anybody else wants to run with us its not too late!!! You have all morning to get your truck ready! LOL I made the mistake of inspecting my undercarriage the day before a run (yesterday) and I found a broken leaf keeper. I had to drive all the way to Dr. Jimmy's house and have him perform minor outpatient surgery on The Truck right before my bedtime haha Thanks homie!

    Those river beds can be killer.

    I remember coming out of a river bed that was filling up after a trail repair. Nothing says “hurry the fuck up” when water starts flowing beneath you.

    I was just coming out of this trail. The water came up another 3’. Would have been a bad day. BB026844-554D-4098-9255-FD7E2598E00E.jpg
