Im willing to sign the paperwork on a new 2018 sr5 OR crew max (black or Cavalry Blue) if i can get them down to 37500.

I have a 2015 taco. Ill be trading it in with a color matched leer, Mobtown offroad sliders remote start (mile radius) rigid hood pods SCS ray10 bronze with halflife cooper st maxx 255/85/16's. I want 26500 for the trade. NADA gives a clean retail of 29,700.

    Black:
    MSRP- 45414
    Navigation
    bedliner

I can get them down. I have them down to 39 including rebate. His words were "I will not find a better deal" Challenge accepted!

The dealer with the Cavlary will go 38 even.

    Cavalry Blue:
    MSRP-45213
    scout gps app
    no bedliner

As stated I will sign if i get 37.5; trade in of 26.5 and a tri fold hard tonneau to boot; on the cavalry i will only sign in they also throw in the spray in bed liner.

    Thoughts?

Not well put together, as im looking for an opinion last minute.

and btw this will be my first TUNDRA. Thank you for your input!

$37.5k should be doable. That'd only be a $5k dealer discount (not including rebate), so they're not taking much off with their $39k "best price". If they're playing that game you just need to walk away and shop around.

I mean you always hear of the guy who got $10k+ off sticker, but conditions have to be perfect and you might not get that lucky. I noticed the dealer is advertising it online for the $39k, so you can most definitely do better than that. Just depends if you want to put in the effort of walking away and talking to other dealers.

I figure you can probably almost always get a slightly better deal somewhere, but I say if you can get a good deal you feel good about, not have to fight dealers to the death, and end up with a sweet truck then it's a win. Good luck and let us know what you end up with!

i will for sure! I originally felt like 36.5 was optimal, i still feel that that is the case. I prefer the Blue, but with the lack of a bedliner adn the fact i want a tonneau and will only sign if both are thrwn in then i feel 37 is ideal, as long as i get what i want on my trade in. in my head my numbers are as such.

    37250
    -26500
    =10750
    +10500 (still owed on taco)
    =21250
+TTL (i do not pay bogus fees)

Will keep you guys posted and will get a pic if i get the deal i want

Not knowing all the options on the trucks your looking at...I just picked up an 18 arctic white crew max last week for 31,500 - 2WD, 4.6 liter. Thats with the dealer discount and 3,000 rebate and my wife getting another 1000 off :) MSRP was just shy of 40k.

Get what makes you happy bro..in the long run the payments wont be that different and you don't want to "say I should have" as that will eat at you until you go out and buy what you want and it will cost you more. They are pushing 18's out the door now so you can shop around if you have time..use the internet and play the dealers off each other.

More power and you get the 38 gallon gas tank...If you are towing or hauling big loads definitely get the 5.7L. I was more concerned with price as I use mine as a daily driver, home depot type truck so the 4.6L is more power than I and quite frankly most people will ever need. 4.6L is a little better gas milage as well but its not really enough to tip scales - they both suck the gas
