It was a fun drive up and down the coast. First time I’ve been to Big Sur and it was impressive.

Damn it, that’s the second time I missed the space X crap flying into space :annoyed:

This was the reason i couldn't go to the Big Bear run with you guys..
    PFA
    Yosemite..
Since Yosemite I rigged up an "off road trailer"
I can now slide the bed-rack with all the gear to and from the bed to the trailer as needed depending on the trip we are going on!

Kinda nice not having to drive around with it as a DD. lol

Yup. It's been years though. This is a great time of year to go. That Lone Pine/ Big Pine area is sometimes green in the valley... which is extra pretty after the trek up the 395 desert. If you don't already know, check out Schatts bakery in Lone Pine. Of course, you'll be close to Mt. Whitney and Mammoth if you want to hike and explore. Up past Mammoth, the "quakies" Aspen trees should be putting on a show about now.

Lots to explore around there, or pass on a curvy pavement road through those mountains on the east up into Fish Lake Valley (Dyer, NV). Then a lot of graded but steep roads down elevation into Nevada with views to everywhere.

    That'll be another great trip!

I think @osidepunker, @01erionracing, and some others were up there a few months back and found some good places.

I've been doing some research and I found some "easy trails" to get "dirty" on. really want to test out my setup.

Your truck is already looking good  I’m digging the trailer.
Yosemite is definitely a place we’re trying to get back to. It’s damn near impossible to get campsite reservations :annoyed:

Last time we Airbnb a cabin but it was pricey and I want to be in the park :(

Just went through that area last weekend. @Sunnier is spot-on, so beautiful up there right now. Cool at night and windy as heck. The bakery she referred to is in Bishop though, not Lone Pine.

We didn’t get to go up to the castle :( it’s 25 bucks per person to do the tour. We just went to the visitor center and looked from the observation deck. That pool looks cool though :eek2:
