You never know. Go back to dealer, tell him your predicament, hem may do better than you think.

Have known others who did similar, almost no miles. They would not have done if it was a few $k.

I have a 2018 TRD sport, crewmax I really wanted a platinum after I bought it, went back to the dealer to talk about a trade. The numbers were shocking... the REAL (state sale taxes and processing fees) cost of trading a brand new vehicle hurt. Saying that, you don’t know until you try. You may be better off selling it yourself, it’s not as hard as people make it out to be.

Take it to a Dodge or GM dealer... they would be slobbering over that Tundra for a trade

you should go back to the same sales manager You got the truck from and see if they would let you exchange that tuck for a truck of your choice, considering that you're going to get a crew max. See what they work out for you. It will be another sale for them this month.
Please report back I am curious to know what happens.
    Good luck.

My three adult kids fit in the back of my DC with ease. For me, the 6.5 foot bed is a must, 5.5 is impractical for me.

Adults take up less room than kids. I had a DC for 10 years with no problems seating any mix of 5 adult/canine.

My kids' huge car seats? Finally put me over the edge to get into a CM.

I know this isn't a very popular thought these days, but you could tell them to not kick your seat then back up what you say. Save thousands and a learning moment for the kids.

I wanted the DC version, until I settled on a TRD Pro and no DC available for 2019. My kids are all 18+ now though.

I drove the dreaded minivan when the kids were younger; more because there were 4 of them than because I needed the space. I also had many sedans over the years that squeezed in car seats just fine when they needed to.

I'm with @WrigglingWilly though, I would have never been allowed to kick as a kid...and my children were not allowed to kick me either. As a side note, this was still a problem in my minivan; I'm over 6' and with the seat pushed back far enough for my legs, the kids feet could reach my seat-back with no problem while they were still in car-seats and booster seats.

If your truck is the primary family hauler, the convenience of the CM may be worth the hit. If it's the secondary family hauler, I'd keep the truck you picked and make the kids adjust accordingly. Too many people do too much to accommodate children these days! I'm sure you'll make plenty of other sacrifices on their behalf, your mode of transportation doesn't have to be one of them.

Yes I do. Two college age sons. If we told them to act a certain way they did so because we backed up what we said. They are well balanced respected productive citizens.

Tony, I couldn't disagree more strongly. I am being "real" and I know about kids, kids seats, and discipline. This is one of these situations where it must be that others don't understand because if that's not the case then it means you don't. Not starting a "pissing match" just saying we had kids, kids car seats and had zero issues because our sons minded and were and still are well behaved.

Nope wrong. I have kids that mind. No other explanation needed. It sure made parenting easy when they learned at an early age that no means no and don't ask again or do that again. Quite simple really just takes effort.

Yeah, that's true, the latest car seats are a heck of a lot bigger than the ones we used when our kids were tiny.

What if the kid ACCIDENTALLY kicked your seat? (In a plane the other week a lady yelled at me for kicking the back of her seat)

To me that's totally different. There's no willful intent when it happens by accident compared to knowing and intentionally acting up. Please don't misunderstand me. I loved when my two boys were little and think little kids are a hoot and enjoy being around them. I just flew from Seattle next to a 10 year old whose seat was apart from his parents. We spent the whole trip working on his homework. It brought back fond memories and I had a blast.

I would try and sell it yourself rather than trade it. You won't take as big of a hit on it.

As others have mentioned in here. You can certainly try going back to dealer and trading it back in. I’m sure it happens all the time. Just don’t get your hopes up of trading it back in on a crewmax without taking a loss. Once you took that truck off the lot it depreciated. That dealer is now looking at a used truck to sell, not a new one.
So here’s a thought how does the rest of world handle transporting their kids? I mean the tundra is rather huge and most countries don’t run something this large and still manage.
I think you bought a great truck and regardless what anyone is going to tell you on a forum I think your second guessing yourself. At the time you bought the truck it was a decision that made sense to you. Yes car seats are huge, but how many years are you going to be dealing with that versus on how long your planning on keeping the truck?
Either way good luck, let us know what you decided on.
