Method NV 305 - hubcentric?

I cant find a straight answer here... in trying to decide between SCS and the Method NV 305 - both are 18x9, 25mm offsetbut I cant get clarity on whether the Method’s are hubcentric. Any idea here?

SCS wheels are hub centric - according to Method's master part list, the NV's are not (I would call them to confirm. Method may have hub centric rings available that can be used.)

So just called Method... the NV 305 is NOT hubcentric, it is lugcentric and cannot be used with a ring due to the style of the centercap on that wheel. He did say that the Roost, Vex and Con 6 are hub-centric as are all the wheels with the flat center cap.

Makes the SCS decision a little easier, just more money.

 

SCS are really nice. Also Icon Rebounds are hub centric. New FN wheels also a good choice.

 

When we design our wheels to be hubcentric, we limit our products to that specific market. Which in this case is the Tundra platform. For this reason, we're not able to sell the same kind of volume as Method. However, for this same reason, you will also not find our wheels on just any other GM, Ford, Jeep, or Dodge truck on the road. Hence the big factor why our wheels might be slightly priced higher.

Some people don't mind a universal, one-size fits all, wheel and others might prefer the OEM Toyota like fitment. After all, our factory is the same factory that produces TRD wheels for Toyota .

 

Great info, thanks for posting. No doubt that Ray 10’s are ideal, it’s just an expensive endeavor when adding in tires. Just need to be patient and save more.

 

I see a lot of people talking about wheels being designed hub centric. My understanding is that light duty trucks are no longer designed to need hub centric wheels and haven't been for decades. It's only the larger 3/4 ton and up trucks that require a hub centric wheel am I wrong on this? I'm about to order the 305 NV from method in an 18x9 for my 2008 tundra crewman and didn't think it would be a problem. Will it be?
