That's what's on my truck. It's got a little growl when you're on the pedal but quiet at a cruise.

Got off work early today. Ordered an exhaust bracket from NAPA to see if replacing it stops that infernal rattle.

Then I gave the ol girl a bath. Nex spring I really need to pay some attention to the paint. Never got around to it this year. 20181005_160424.jpg

Hows it holding up longevity wise? I want at least 6-7 years out of it. Some salt here. Not much unless sand driving. This original muffler is 17 years old. Unbelievable.

It's only been on about a year but still looks new. Lots of salt here, the shop said it's warranted for life against rust through.

    Shop did the install? Welded?

I’m looking diy (no welder) and that same muffler is $108 online delivery. Reviews say to use the Bosal clamp with some muff dope/glue.

Shop did the install, it's all bolted together but I needed a new resonator too. They charged less than I could buy the parts for.

My plan was to do it myself until I found out it was cheaper to let them do it.

Well, was planning on installing the Deaver Leafs today. But the rain has put that on hold for the meantime. Sure would be nice to have a garage tall enough for my truck right about now.

I did install some Wheelers Superbumps up front yesterday. Very excited to test these bad boys out and see how they hold up.

Well the rain quit early in the day so we thought we would go with the Deaver Install / U Bolt Flip. Overall took just over 5 hours. Wasn’t too bad of an install except for the rain. It started raining about halfway through soaking everything lol

Haven’t measured but looks to have given me an extra inch and a half of height even with about 300lbs in the bed. (Previously had stock leafs with the Icon AAL)

Will get more pictures posted soon.

Nice! How was the shackle flip portion? Tough drilling out the oem mounts?

Yeah I said Shackle Flip, but meant the U bolt flip oops! Haha

I felt the shackle flip was too much for me (height wise) after talking to Eric at Archive Garage...

But can’t say enough about these leafs / u bolt flips kit and how everything was perfect lined up. Huge thanks to Eric over at Archive Garage.

Glad to hear everything is top notch! What size/option bump stops did you go with?

Put some silcone juice on the new tires. Painted up the lug nut caps again with black. Tires are handling nicely.

Well I didn’t do much driving since I was soaked and freezing haha... But seems to have my rear end planted much better on the road. I’m excited to see how it does with the weight and Offroad!

Yeah everything has lined up perfectly! The bump stop mounts / u bolt flip is perfect for our trucks. I’ve seen some other u bolt flip kits that are “universal fit” and they are loose and this is nothing like this thankfully.

I went with the raised pedestal with the wheeler superbumps. :bananadance:

Was looking last night at those Hellwig types. One of their leaf packs they claim acts like an anti-sway.

Finally went outside to snap a picture of the new ride height!

The first two photos are before and the third is the photo I snapped earlier today with the new Springs. (Still had about 200lbs in the bed)

Quite a difference visually. Can’t wait to test them out to their full potential!

Damn! I wonder how much it’s going to settle? Did you happen to take measurements before install?

I’m sure it’ll settle a tad here shortly. Of course I didn’t take any measurements. I was planning on measuring and taking in depth photos but it was a very last minute install...

Haven’t driven much at all. Maybe 10 miles last night. And the truck is on a down slope making it seem much higher in the rear.

But on this topic, I do have some coach builder shims to add to the front Coilovers to give me another .5” without having to crank my Coilovers anymore. I may throw those on to see how it goes, but I’ve been contemplating going a different route and getting 700lb Springs to replace my 650lb Springs....

Anyone have any thoughts or have gone one direction or the other?

Yeah. You get caught up in doing the work and forget stuff. He’ll still live even though he has a front rake. Personally, I like it and thats what I have on my 02’. We call it stock look.
