Since we have a separate thread for towing, i thought we should have one for hauling.
Post up a pic with details of your wide, long, tall or heavy load and details of your suspension.

What I'm finding is that the payload is different depending on the truck. Takes into account 4x2 vs 4x4, cab configuration, trim level, bed length, wheels, tires, added options, etc. Here is the manual for a 2011:

2012 Rock Warrior CM with Toytec Boss 3.25" front and 1" rear Toytec Shackle.
1.25 cubic yards of dirt = ~2,750 lbs.
It was a planters mix with 30% sand so the actual weight of the load would be a bit more. Maybe closer to the 3,000 lbs mark.

2012 Rock Warrior CM with 3/1 Toytec Ultimate Lift with 1" rear block (previous lift)
Playground tiles are 50lbs each ~68 tiles =3,400lbs
The taller bump stops were the big reason for this load to not look as low in the back as it would be with stock bump stops.

Thanks. I don't think i will ever be able to just fill out simple bullet points because the payload takes into account 4x2 vs 4x4, cab configuration, trim level, bed length, wheels, tires, added options, etc.

Man...you guys are hauling a ton (literally) over the payload! Does this cause any irreversible damage to the suspension - even if only done once in a while? I'm sure the engine can handle it but those leaf springs are maxed out and you're sitting on the bump stops!

I hauled probably close to a ton of boulders today with the air bags and sway bar off for a trip to Moab. With 1" shackles I wasn't on the bumpstops. The truck rode great and didn't bottom out or sway excessively. The key is to get the weight as far forward in the bed. DC makes that possible. 5 mpg going up a steep high altitude grade at 55 but not working to hard by a long shot!

How's this for a mother's day gift. I had to expand her jeeps parking spot to make more room for the tundra! Last load, estimated at 1700 lbs by the landscaping place. 20170513_154209.jpg 20170513_154325.jpg
