I've got an interesting thing going on here with my 2002 Tundra.. Nothing mechanical really, but have noticed lately that where the air bag is located (on passenger side) there is a noticeable sticky feel to the surface of that area.. It is ONLY on the area specified as where the air bag is located.. I've tried to get whatever it is off using Armor All, etc., but so far nothing seems to work.. The bottom line question though..........is there a safety issue here? Thanks in advance for any info on this...

I don't know but I just had the passenger side airbag actuator recall done this week. Related? Maybe. Probably not, but maybe.

I didn't get there til 9am and they opened at 730, but I also had the oil changed and everything checked over since ive only had the truck about 5 weeks. They were done by about 1230pm.

Had the same issue with a Gen 1 Sequoia. Disappeared when the airbag recall was done.
