I'm sitting here in the woods deer hunting with my crossbow during a warm SC Fall, and I am in the process of scouting for a Tundra. I'm 6'-6" 235 and tired of scrunching up into just about everything I've ever owned trying to get decent gas mileage. Now that I'm 56 and have never had a truck, I'm on the prowl. I'm going to bite the bullet and go comfort, ride and safety over mileage.

I work at our Baptist church and don't have any good way to buy a new car or truck, but in spite of getting taken on a 2006 Subaru Forester in May (the dealer didn't disclose all of the hidden problems), I'm praying to squeeze all I can out of it for a trade. I figured I'd join up here and find out more about my potential Tundra.

Thanks ahead of time for the help from you guys! Have a great weekend,

    Barry

Thanks very much on both counts! Nothing like being in the woods this morning - especially since it's supposed to be 90 degrees this afternoon.

Can you believe it's going to hit 90 around here? I'm in the Piedmont area.
I'm 6' and 270...ish...there's plenty of room in the Tundra.

Isn't this weather crazy? When I was a kid we were already wearing heavier jackets. I got run off from Myrtle Beach by Hurricane Florence on my vacation. I should have waited till now to go!

I'm what most would consider a VERY tall male. Topping out at 5'9", I find myself still with plenty of room in the cab. You should be fine

    good luck in your search

Nice! I live in Greer and work/go to church in Greenville. I used to drive and sell in Western NC for NCR - beautiful up there! And I am hunting right now a few miles from Laurens.

Our SC place is in western Laurens county, at Boyd's Mill Pond. Lots of game land in the area. In-laws are in Marietta/Travelers Rest area.

We keep 7 kayaks down there. There's a new river access point (Park, ramp, trails) up where hwy 76 crosses the river. It's a 5.5 mile paddle from there to the lake. once you hit the lake it's about a mile to our place. We've done it in 1.5 hours, or you could easily stretch it out to a half day trip.
