    Me too!!! East Brainerd, actually. I actually came to this thread looking to post something awesome I learned with the purchase of my Tundra in the last month. Sorry if this derails the current discussion, but I think it is important.

    I just purchased my Tundra from my father who still lives in LA. Is everyone aware that if you buy a vehicle from an immediate family member and register it in TN you do NOT have to pay sales/usage tax on it?!?! I bought my Tundra for $12k. Total owed to the courthouse, $81. And the only reason for that is because I got a cool license plate with the $35 upcharge. How about that?

    Hey Erichudgins, that's why I'm posting it here..to get the word out to other owners. I had no idea about it until I was just trying to figure out how much it was going to run me. You just have to grab the TN sales and usage tax pdf and fill out the affidavit on the back. You sign, your familiy member signs. You don't even need to put the amount of the sale because it doesn't matter. No tax! Pass it on.
