    hey guys,

I have a 2016 crew max with the rear window that rolls down. When the rear window is down at any position, it easily rattles when driving. It doesn't take much of a bump in the road to hear it rattle. Has anyone else experienced this or know what exactly might be causing this? Do you even drive with the rear window down?

Worse case, I guess I will take it back to the dealer and have them fix it.

    Thanks,

Seriously? That sucks. I can't imagine the window going through design, testing, and production and no one said to themselves, "hmm why is the window rattling?"

    Rattles drive me crazy. :goingcrazy:

Unfortunately it is a normal thing. Very annoying. Either all the way up or all the way down to avoid the rattle.

I'm just going to play devil's advocate here a little, but it clearly states in the toyota manual (P. 140) that the window is only to be down when vehicle is not moving (and I also assume off). They say it's due to exhaust gases, but it's probably due to that rattle and they don't want to admit it :D

I'm guessing their lawyers made them say that. If exhaust gasses were really a problem I'd think that all convertibles would have ambulance chasers following along.
