Uh oh, you DO have an Auto button lol! Could you set a temp before on stock? I’m curious what the firmware does, it was mentioned before it only has manual Hi/Low for base SR5. Not that it’s a big deal, just want to know how it digitally adjusts temp and fan speed without physical knobs. Currently it’s all manual and I turn the HVAC off when I’m comfortable or should I say when I start feeling uncomfortable, archaic I know lol.

 

Hi guys quick question.... do we still need the idata maestro cable for the new Phoenix? Still waiting for mine to be ship out. Wanna buy if needed before it’s arrived.

 

Just got my "fast boot with knobs" shipping notice today!!! My order number is 446X. I paid for express shipping from china so I am expecting to see it early next week.

I can't really see it that well...does the new "knobless" version eliminate the factory USB/AUX/Power outlet panel shown below, or is it just difficult to see since the bottom edge of the new "knobless" version sticks out so far? It looks like in your picture the bottom lip of the unit is only a couple of inches from the shifter knob, or is that an optical illusion?

Just got my shipment notification this morning as well (order #45xx). Same kind of question as @Young80i, and I'm sure that others will have the same question: Are there any adapters needed for satellite radio, GPS antenna, OBD connector/splitter, steering wheel controls, rear camera, front camera, etc...?

Wohoo... just got my shipping notice for the "with knobs" model. Order #47xx

 

I put the temp to 72 degrees and it stops when auto is on.

 

All adapters are included. My stock radio has the JBLs and all are working after install. It comes with GPS antennas too! My steering buttons all work and my rear camera works (Installing a front camera soon, still in the market though)

 

It keeps the USB below and have an extra that I plugged a 4TB portable located in my glove box for all the music and movies. The shifter knob is far I think but it doesn't bother me.

 

Return it and ask for the knobless! I had issues with that but that's just me. Lol

If you don't mind me asking, what was wrong with the "knobs" fast boot model you had?

Or did you have the non-fast boot model with A/C knobs?

 

I picked up one of those radios with 2 knobs that has 2gig ram and 64gig rom and I can't figure out why the temp jumps even though I adjusted setting so I wasn't happy with it and returned and exchange it with the one I have now which everything works! Plus it looks more futuristic IMO.

 

From what I understand the new fast boot model with knobs are just now shipping from China. How did you have issues with it since they have not arrived in the US yet? Are we talking about the same radio (Phoenix Gen 2 fast boot with small knobs)?

 

I’m guessing he had 1st gen. Supposedly the 2nd gen fast boot solved the issue.

 

Yeah I think it is first gen because it has the android 6.0. Are you getting the one with 7.1.1 android?

Yea, the first pic is of the gen 1 model with A/C knobs at the bottom. The second pic is of the fast boot gen 2 model with 2 small knobs at the upper right and left corners. The gen 2 is supposed to have most issues worked out.

I take that back. After seeing the zoomed in pic of the knobs, I see one hole is labeled "RST" which I assume is Reset.

 

I'm having issues with mine 1st gen. 7.1v draining the battery after the key is turned off (unit stays on but the screen is off). If the radio does turn off, the battery is fine but I have to press the reset button to turn the unit on (all the settings are also reset). I have no way of knowing if the unit is off unfortunately. I've emailed the manufacturer numerous times without a reply

 

You might want to play with the settings. Too many options to turn on and off.

Just note there seems to be connectors that do not apply to the Tundra. You also have to make sure you connect the yellow backup camera cable directly into the back of the unit. I also could not use the GPS receiver I had from the Gen1 unit because the connector is different.

All in all it seems to be ready to use out of the box. I have not tried to customize the UI yet. That will be later.

You can change the LED colors to match. See Pics.

Oh one of the passwords is different.
666888 is the new "advanced" password.
7890 is the same.

 

Damn I dont have that option to match the light! Test your AC if it works...
