I can’t seem to find any Cement color match paint from any of the major manufacturers such as duplicolor. I’m sure it’s not a common color so stocking it or mass producing it probably isn’t in their best interest. But for those who have cement or hard to come by colors, where have you purchased your paint from? I’ve come across 3 possible sites that I’m considering ordering from (touchupdirect., paintscratch., and automotivetouchup., - all .coms).

Anybody got any experience with these, or other brands/sites? Hell I’d be interested in vinyl wrap too if anyone knows of a good place to get color match vinyl from. Open to ideas!

Looking to tackle the chromes disease myself, can’t take it much more!

I just recently found out that ONE of my local Sherwin Williams will color match and put in a spray can. They will need some information from inside the door, then takes about 45 mins to mix. I have 4 local stores, only the one has the ability to do it, you may need to call around.

If you can't find any local options, here's the # for my store. They may be able to point you in the right direction.

Just looking at the net, I found Carolina Colors. They look like they might be able to make you a spray bomb of any color you need. If they can’t do it, they can probably point you in the right direction.

The only thing to keep in mind is that once you activate one of these cans, it has a very short shelf life. And do wear the proper resp gear- these guys mix up the real stuff, complete with volatiles.

Hood bulge and surround are def going cement. My dilemma is whether or not to do cement or black on the bumper caps. I can’t decide! @DodgerBlues

    Flux capacitor!
I have also used automotive touch up and they are very good! I had my Attitude Black paint made in an aresal can and touch up pen. They also sell the primer for The prep and a clear coat to help seal the paint.

Promising to hear! Yea I love that they have the primer, esp the plastic adhesion primer for our surrounds. I may give this a shot. I feel the need to order something anyway lol.

They make a touch pen that is very handy to keep on hand! This is my color matched 218 code for my Attitude Black color and the gloss clear coat pen.

If you get their spray paint cans get the adhesion promoter, the color matched paint and the gloss clear coat paint. Make sure you wet sand the paint to get the best end results. This will remove the orange peel affect from the paint.

For a diy? I’m taking a stab at it and I’ll say about $100-$150 or so in materials, could be less depending on where ya order from. Between the two diff primers, the base coat and clear coat, and maybe a trigger sprayer for cans and a respirator mask I’m sure it’s not all that bad. Throw in an orbital sander if you don’t have one already.

My man. Just ordered my gear from them last night. Will keep everyone posted when it comes and when I tackle the project. I’m likely going to do the bumper caps black...just to be different, so that I will get to this weekend most likely. Haven’t seen really any cement trucks with black caps. So we’ll see how it goes/looks. Worst case scenario I wait until my cement paint match comes in and just start over lol.

I bought my custom mixed cans from oriley auto parts that is a block away from my work. I think a rattle can cost like $24.

Interested to know how close the paint match was. Looking to go the same DIY route. Just added up everything from sparks and was $2000.

Sorry it took a while to do it and post it fellas, but here was my outcome. Was originally going to do the bumper caps black, but since I had enough cement paint I decided to go ahead and color match them too. The paint appears to be spot on, maaaaaaaybe just slightly darker on the grille surround but not all that noticeable.

Yea I wasn’t about to spend all that money on painted parts. It cost me less than $150 to do all this. And with the mindset that I was going to add aftermarket bumpers in the future anyway, made it even more justified lol
