Ok, so I was driving at about 50 mpg and was passing a truck and hit the accelerator hard. i don't think I redlined but I was up to 85-ish mpg. The air conditioning was on but then with the fan blowing the A/C turned off and the light on the A/C button started blinking. Air was still blowing but it was warm since it also stopped recycling the air.

I pushed the A/C button but nothing happened, kept blinking. So then I turned the fan speed all the way down to turn the whole system off and then back on and everything was fine.

It was weird must have either turned the A/C off to put more power to the drive train or maybe the serpentine belt slipped. Its working fine but it was weird and hasn't happened before.

    Anybody else ever experience this?

yep bank account is running low from it..
If the rpms are above a speed (5500rpm example) the a/c should disengage.. that keeps the compressor from over driving and blowing out seals from too much pressure from too much rpms.

I don't know what the ratio is, if it's one to one, on the compressor to crankshaft but 6000rpms is alot of flying metal in a small place.. then add oil and gas (freon) in the mix.

Hey guys. This happened to me today, it's been over an hour since it's happened and it's still not working. I wasn't really haulin ass but might've pushed the rpms comin out of the court parking lot after sitting there for 4 hours for nothing. Anything I can check before I take her in?

Alright switched ac on an it's blowing air, the ac blows for a sec then the button starts blinking and the rpms bog a little. All dash lights and stuff are fine. According to ultra gauge highest rpm was 4652 at around that time, earlier in the month it shows I had higher, 5600 at one time.

Hmm, that's strange. When it happened to me, I turned the AC all the way off then back on and it came right back with no issues.
