I don't know much about tire pressure monitors, when I had tires swapped from my old wheels to my new wheels it was $60 for all 4. Unless they gave you new sensors at around $45 each wheel I can't see the cost being right.

As far as regional, I go to Americas Tire in Woodland Hills, CA. I doubt anything short of Canada would hold a higher price tag.

I paid $160 after tax to have my tires swapped onto my new rims; mounted, balanced, installed including the TPMS sensors.

That's here in Canada where everything is a rip off...

Yeah, I got ripped off. I called another local shop that’s reputable and they quoted me $95 for the same service and that includes free rotations and tire repair.

Ordered 8 of these for preventative maintenance. OEM Denso. Good price compared to stealerships.

Badging: I've been thinking and thinking on the badging to go with my gray truck. When I bought the truck I originally wanted to go with all black but with the black and gray paint and trim (protectors/deflectors/floor mats, tires), I wanted something with a little more pizzazz.

So for the past several months I've been checking out cars with gray but with a contrasting color as well. At the end it came down to orange or red. The only mistake so far is that i mostly bought used badges--those things don't stick for long in Southern Cal--so I used them to test different paint combos and would place them temporarily on the truck to see how they looked. In the end, I'm going with black and red combo colors after doing just the SR5 part--which I ended up liking best with the badges being mostly black with red accents. The SR5's badges on now will be replaced as they were just test cases and they aren't lined up right nor properly painted--I was using a heat gun to speed up the testing process. I've had to order OEM badges now that I've got my basic color scheme down. Waiting for them...

Crawled up under the rear of the Tundra this weekend to take inventory of what I needed to redo the springs and suspension. Noticed the spare tire looked like it wasn't secured very well. It wasn't. I bumped it and it fell. Consider myself lucky. I bought the Tundra in Ohio in June and drove it 1800 miles to to Tucson and then another 1500 or so around town. I could have lost it on the road and caused someone a serious accident. Positive side of all this? I learned where the spare tire crank was stored, and the tire is now secured properly.

After replacing the radiator, and refreshing the brakes I took my 2002 SR5 Tundra on a quick 1300 mile road trip last weekend... the ride was smooth, and there were zero issues.

    I love this old Tundra.

Two weekends ago was for new LCA Bushings (I paid a shop to have fun with that...) haha

This past weekend was spent on a new Timing Belt / Water Pump / Thermostat / Radiator Hoses / Etc.

Next weekend is for installing some Deavers!

Im still trying to track down the rattle that happens in the last few feet of stopping. Drive thru and at stop lights its the worst. Brake pads are fine, at about 80% and no looseness.

Wondering if its exhaust related somehow. A loose clamp or something that shifts when I slow down. No rattle at speed or at idle either.

    Its driving me nuts.

I replaced a few rusted out clamps on my exhaust heat shields. Used stainless clamps from the big box. Get under there and start shaking things.

I like this. Looked at those TRD snap ons a few months ago, but figured it would be too busy with the V8 emblem that is already there.

How much were those Deavers? Let us know how they ride once you get them on. Might be doing these soon (not because I want to but because I will have to). Existing ones are getting tired.

Called Deaver to inquire about leafs. Guys wants tounge weights calculations, drop measurements, angles, etc.

I’m a retired hand model not some rocket science mechanic. All I want are new leafs just like stock! Called this other company found online that make oem with American Steel. All parts (leafs, u-bolts, eye bolts, shackles, shipping, etc) out the door $800.

Not bad for the total parts cost. Picture cost is import. Add $65 per leaf for American Steel.

@Rheywood456 are they the overland expedition pack? BTW I'm happy to see I'm not the only freak who hides car parts in the house. You should have seen my wife's face when she found a K&N kit under the kitchen sink, or the time she found my ball joints in the ottoman!

@lionscourt and @Brown Bear those badges are looking good! I almost wanna rebadge my truck seeing those.

Haha yeah my “Parts collection” was getting ridiculous for a while... especially since we just moved out here 3 months ago and things were stacking up.

Yes. They are the Overland Pack. Rated for 500 extra lbs in the bed. My Icon AALs are ready for a break! Lol
