Whats up guys, I bought a 2017 Tundra SR5 with the TSS package this January 2018. I have done the following mods:
    -Auto Headlights
    -TRD Sway bars
    -LED Exterior and interior lights
    -Pop Lock
    -Frac Camera
    -Driver side door handle
    -Remote Start

I am done doing mods for this year but I am alreade making a list for next year lol. I want to do leather (w/ heated and cooled seats), 2018 headlights, exhaust and maybe new wheels. What do you guys recommend I do first? I have started a poll to see what I should prioritize hah.Tundra.jpg

If you have any other ideas on what I can do let me know, thanks!

Hey shhernandez74, sweet looking truck! I LOVE the TSS, wish I could of found one in Buffalo, NY! I'm currently shopping around for the TSS grey wheels, let me know if you're serious about selling. Is the suspension a standard TRD setup on the TSS? I voted for the heated leather seats, thats what I'm ordering within the next week (probably Katzkins). I have a 2018 Silver TRD DC, the headlights are slick, definitely grab some! How difficult was the remote start and driver handle to install?
    Thanks

The first one you feel it, the last one you mainly hear it, the middle 3 are mostly cosmetic. I’d scrounge some funds and do the first one before winter. Just installed Katzkins and heaters myself, cool mornings lately it’s been bliss, gonna be great when it’s cold. Whenever you do it, you’ll love your truck all over again, and it’ll seem brand new.

I never realized that the grey TSS wheel were kind of a "special edition", another member was the one who told me. If I do decide to get new wheels I will definitely let you know! I should have a better idea towards the end of this month. Remote start was actually very easy to install, i bought it off of ebay but I began having some issues with the connectivity. I am looking into purchasing a new system from another seller. The driver handle was super easy to install and one of the most functional mods.

How difficult was it to install yourself? I found the katzkin kit but im debating on whether I should do it, or take it in to a upholstery shop. How did you hook up the heated pads? Also where did you place the on/off switch? Any pics?

I feel like this would be best on a lifted truck, im not planning on lifting it so I dont see the benefit. Are there any additional benefit other than cosmetics to a skid plate?
Also correct me if I am wrong, you are talking about the TRD skid plate right?

Full skids. Only cosmetic if you never off road. RCI and Bud Built make them. Night and day different from the TRD skid. Sounds like this mod isn't for you. I voted for new exhaust.

It’s doable, just tedious on the hands, looking at a weekend’s work or about 7-10h in one day. Here’s a thread on it by Patch999, tools you need, etc:
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/diy-katzkins-with-seat-warmers.31828/#post-798949

The trick is to not treat it like a cover but work the foam, stretch the leather over before clipping it, and use a steamer to remove wrinkles just like how leather would look factory installed. A cheap Amazon steamer is fine, one you would buy to take on vacation anyway. I went DIY because my nearest installer is in another city and costly.

The heaters have sticky tape to foam under the leather and it’s just one wire tapped to the interior fuse called “Seat Heater”, only turns on when the truck is on. The other wire is a ground. I put my switches here:

I don't remember the brand...had done after I pin strips down the side off roading. A friend runs detail shop and did it for me. I like the results. Easier to clean. And rain and dust fall off of it fairly easy.

Found the DIY for the grab bar, thx! Copy that on the wheels, PM me if you change your mind any sooner. I'm hoping to off load mine soon before I pile on the miles, currently they have 300 on them.
