Watch the video I filmed from this tour on one of the two secret small pop up shows in Winnipeg. This was before HD camera phones and filmed on what was probably a 480p 3MP Canon Digital point and shoot.

It was a musical highlight of my life... The actual full concert was amazing too. But the small acoustic private show on the bridge @ The Forks was even better.

It's hard to believe it was 12 years ago.

They were playing small pop up shows for fans of a forum and posting the location hours or minutes before hand. I got word, and headed downtown. There was too many fans for where they wanted to do it, so they made a few of us hop on a city bus, we had no idea what was going on. A few stops later, Jack and Meg jump on and play Wheels on the bus, Hotel Yorba and then jump off. Then I hightail it to the next small venue (a bridge). I took some pics as did others, then Jack asked the 50 or so of us there to just enjoy the moment and put the cameras away....amazing!

It's me yelling "yeah, yeah" when he asks what to play. It's NOT me singing like a drunk. The people sitting in front of Jack & Meg where just bus travellers and had no idea what was going on. The big guy in the suit is a body guard.

Always amazed how "full" their songs sound, easy to forget it's just two people.

I was lucky to see them when I did. On their last your, still in their prime and both local secret shows.

I had tickets to the Fargo show, but the rest of the tour was cancelled shortly before it happened. That was the end of The White Stripes.

One of my all time favs as well. Meg wasn't the best drummer but she was cool as heck, a looker and the perfect companion for Jack to showcase his talents
