So not even the lane departure warning to help make sure you’re not falling on the wheel is not useful? To each his own, but I’m happy all these extra safety features have been added. Any feature that helps keep my family safer on the road is welcomed.

I'm with @ToyotaTundraMike, and if your tired you shouldn't be driving, but I guess with these safety nannies people can push it now since the truck will keep them safe?

For some these things may seem great and others cannot see the value, I'm one of those. I think going this route is going to make people worse/lazy drivers as time goes on.

Lazy drivers? These are extra features for your safety, not a maid. I get it, some people don’t want the technology, but this is the future of automobiles. Personally, I wanted a 2018 for the extra safety features that are there to help, baby me.

We’ve had this technology on my wife’s Infiniti and the early breaking feature and lane assist has helped numerous times.

as someone without TSS... I'd certainly appreciate it if i could retrofit it. While i'd like to think i'm an attentive driver - I'm not perfect - far from it - having a system that would help either reduce collision speed or better yet, prevent a collision would be nothing but useful.

I'm old enough to understand i'm fallible, young enough to know that computers can think and react faster than I can.

Yeah lazy drivers, people stop checking blind spots because there BSM tells them if something is there etc. All I'm saying is people might start putting more faith in these system's then relying on actual driving skill sets. For those who have been driving for a long time it wont be as much an issue but think of the younger generation coming up that will only drive vehicles with these systems on them. I understand the technology and what they are trying to do with it but I also understand tech has its flaws as well and is very expensive to fix, its not always a good thing.

I can agree with you that some drivers will get lazy, but that is not how I use it. I still use my mirrors and turn my head the way I grew up driving. However, there are times in the mornings when my mirrors are fogged up or it is raining and you can't see anything in the mirrors; that's when that blinking light can help you to do a double check before changing lanes. Same for the rear cross traffic alert. When you are parked next to a bigger truck or van and have to back out, visibility (or lack thereof) has nothing to do with laziness. The beeper certainly is helpful - not to rely on, but as another level of comfort.
I have been driving for 40 or so years - no technology is going to override my driving habits. For young drivers starting to drive with those - yes, it might be a bad thing.

Just seems like who ever drives a pre 18, hates the new safety features

No problems with my 18. Also have a 3/1.5 lift and 35’s. Features work awesome. Love the BSM and adaptive cruise

Did the dealer had to recalibrate anything?

There is also a reason why your insurance rates are cheaper with the sensor systems as well. Just got my 2019 Tundra TRD Pro last week and getting used to it still, by I like it so far.

Same question here - why do some folks that are lifted have problems but yours is working well?? (i'm glad it works btw, just curious).

Yes insurance was a nice surprise. I traded my 2002 Tacoma on the Tundra. I thought going from a $9k to $45k truck is going to hurt on the insurance part, but it is only $8 a month more.

Not sure exactly. Some say it’s due to the rake. So I kept a rake by going with the 1.5” shackle setting vs the 1”

No problem with mine. Did a 3/1.5 lift too w/ 295/70/18" ......... no errors ever. I bought it last November. Maybe it depends when it was built ?
