Lotta haters. The Raptor is in a league of its own. Tundra is a nice daily/work truck. Quite a step down if you ask me

Without going into item by item to me there just seemed to me to be too much stuff that could break partnered with a pretty much untested engine.

I’ve had 2011 2013 and 2018 Raptors. So I would say that constitutes experience.

I agree. Been enjoying my Tundra a lot with the new suspension setup. Way too much biased hate on the Raptors around here though. From people with little to zero experience with them

    Raptor thread in 3....2....1....:smash:

Comparing a Raptor to a Pro just makes me cringe. Two totally different platforms of truck.

I know, lets also compare one ton diesel to the Tundra/Raptor for towing...this is stupid...I know.

Then we can compare a one ton diesel slamming the whoops in the desert at 40-70mph. That should work out great.

This just isn't a fair comparison on either side.

It's no secret I really like the Raptor. Bad ass Truck for what it is. I have several friends with them.
I also get a #waistband boner for the Pro. The 19' makes me hurt....especially in the fastest color.

Can we just appreciate these trucks for what they are, and leave it at that? Everyone has needs/wants. Some don't need a truck for towing. Some need a truck for towing. Others need double duty. There is a truck for everyone, and that is up to the person writing checks.:spending:

Hi all. New to this forum but felt compelled to chime in. The Raptor is an incredible truck. I own a 2012 with 120,000 miles and have had ZERO problems and LOTS of fun. Our family has owned 3 4Runners, 2 Sequoias, and a slew of Camrys so I get Toyota. Toyota makes a fantastic product. But the Tundra Pro is no Raptor. I am in the market for another vehicle and am heavily considering the 2019 Tundra Pro. It’s no doubt a great truck. But to hate on the Raptor and not call it a truck is either envy, insecurity, or ignorance.

Why can't people hate on the Raptor? I think that they are some ugly freakin' trucks. Not many agree with me, but that is what I think. They are also overpriced for what they are IMO. The typical response to that is: "you are just envious because you can't afford one". I used to say that even if I could afford one I wouldn't buy one. Now, I can afford one and I was correct - I won't ever buy one. There is nothing wrong with having an opinion on something - even if it is different than yours. It doesn't make someone envious, insecure, or ignorant.

Plus....we are talking about a modern Ford here. That name hasn't screamed "quality" for me in a really long time.

Hate on it all you want. Like you said it is your opinion. Which doesn’t make it right or wrong for that matter. And I didn’t mention anything about money. Quite frankly the reason I am currently looking at the Tundra Pro is because it is significantly cheaper. If you don’t like the look then say you don’t like the look. But my question to you is “How is a Raptor not a truck?”
