thought some of you would appreciate. For the last 2 years I’ve been looking to build a proper lowrider. Was really the last fitting piece to of my car collection. Finally came across a clean 63 impala about two weeks ago..

Pretty much all original car with a 283 and 2 speed powerglide...made a 250 mile first trip home with it

Nah. But do have all original paperwork. Car had some mods done. Was already on air and has a system (there goes my dream of hydraulics but this car was too clean to pass up)

Damn clean car. I’m sure that was a pretty penny.

One of my old neighbors sold his 64’ on hydraulics, total custom car for six figures.

    Awesome '63 Dirtbag!

Love those Impala's. My Dad had 2 different '63 SS's when I was growing up, a black one, then one the same color as yours.

He sold the brown one when we were in the Philippines and bought a '67 2 door Caprice with a 396 that came back to the states with us in '75. My Mom LOVED that Caprice.

You did real good. That Impala is a must have. That 283 is a great motor. I put one out of a Vette in my 57 Jeep make over in high school.

The temptation is there. But I don’t want to cut this one up....so will do another proper impala with pumps.

They made a lot of them and people liked them enough to preserve them(or at least the cool ones like his hardtop coupe and the convertibles).

Beautiful car, is that the original color? Original interior?? Please don't mess with the interior, the factory upholstery and big steering wheel are so cool.

Have you thought about replacing the powerglide with a 700R4 overdrive trans?? Makes a world of difference if you plan to drive it a lot on the interstate.

Original color but was repainted and original interior. No interest in changing either up.

Have thought about a 700r4...will probably do it eventually and hold onto the powerglide :)

I read "pretty much all original" in the first post them saw it bagged in the second and thought damn you work quick.
That's a beautiful car. Always had a soft spot for low riders. Great find!

did some work on it recently, replaced all 4 shocks with QA1 adjustables. did new driveshaft bushings and bearings as well as replaced most the bearings on the rear axle as they were leaking pretty heavily. Trans is leaking, but i'm not worried about it right now, don't want to put in the work as i'll most likely be putting in a 700R4.....cruising at 60 mph on a CA freeway is pretty frustrating lol
