Spent some time this weekend messing around with my truck:
-replaced silver TRD Pro grilled with black (planning to paint match the surround to silver)
-replaced silver lower bumper panel with black
-replaced Baja Designs white fogs with Rigid ambers
    -added Rigid light bar
-replaced platinum headlights with 2019 TRD Pro gloss black headlights (thanks @iHacker!)
-(if anyone is looking to pick up some great condition 2017 Platinum headlights, PM me)

This week, I'm having the sound system overhauled. Then will bathe her. Can't wait.

Nice looking truck! I kinda like the black surround on the silver truck, wondering if a black hood bulge would look awesome or weird? Either way looking good!

Thanks! I think the bulge would look funny in black.

You can take the pro insert off of the black grill surround, and also remove your silver surround from your stock grill. Basically swap black for silver so you dont need to paint the black part. It's just a bunch of plastic tabs, they are fragile but a few broken ones won't hurt the functionality

Agreed, but the lower part actually looks good in black the way you have it now.
As @Pudge has said above, if your old grille had a silver surround you can swap it back in; no need to have the black one painted.

That was actually my thinking, but I had a terrible time separating the parts of my original grille and busted too many of the tabs, so paint it is.

Thanks. I have a Truck Covers USA bed cover with rails. Yakima feet fit into the rails, and I have 3 Kuat bike racks attached to the Yakima rails. In winter, Yakima ski racks replace the Kuats.

I'm so used to the racks on there, when they're off, it looks naked.

Btw, I considered leaving the surround black, but the mix of the gloss surround with the matte black everywhere else on the truck just doesn't seem to fit.

Honestly I’ve split the surround from 4 grilles already. I break at least one tab every time and with that being said, the surround on my truck has maybe 4 clips left, the screws on the side do the most supporting.
