    That's a nice sturgeon.

The Columbia is fun year round. So is the Snake. Got both really close here.

Good job heard they were hitting better by Portland but we were way down river on the water already. No action bunch of disappointed fishermen.

Never been past John Day dam for fishing. I am closer to the Columbia by Umitilla/Tri-Cities and where the snake runs into the Columbia. Do a lot more fishing on the Snake heading east towards Clarkston and Lewiston hitting all the dams along the way. Big sturgeon this way. Seen 10+ footers caught. Wish I could get a copy, but a buddy has a picture of draft horses hauling in some monsters with cable line.

Yes! Probably from late 1800's or early 1900's. He has it on a wooden poster board. Love to get a copy. It's a great picture.

Snared 2 dungee keepers and a nice little red. Tossed back around a dozen females. Netarts. Great way to spend a couple hours!

Took the kids out last weekend :D
My 6yr old boy and 10yr old girl did 4 Miles Friday night, 7.5 Miles Saturday, and 4 Miles Sunday. There were some tears because my stubborn son wanted to wear the wrong (not warm) gloves and his fingers froze LOL.
Hunting partner ended up shooting a decent forkid and my boy wanted to go see it - so I cruised over to watch.

I gave both kids my only 2 pair of Binocs. Daughter spotted 2 deer, told me they were does. Shouldered my rifle, confirmed one doe, couldn’t see the other. Pulled my rifle down after 20
seconds. Of course as soon as the first deer headed over the hill he lifted his head, and it was a nice big black tail.
Was pretty bummed, but oh well. Kids enjoyed it.
    Heading back out this weekend.
