It got a little treacherous at a couple points, but I’m happy with how it came out - especially having literally never sewed anything in my life.

I’m happy to answer any questions regarding install, tips or tricks.

After using double sided tape (provided):

Getting it centered was nerve-wracking.... But I finally decided it was good enough and started to sew:

    And here’s the finished product:

I did actually cut the leather on accident above the dash computer control buttons. It happened when I was stuffing the leather under the plastic steering wheel frame... wish I had been a little more careful.

@CCLJ03 You did a darn good job. I don’t know if I could handle a needle that well to begin with. How long did it take you to complete the job?

Finding the right angles to work at, moving slow, and having a ton of light made everything easier. To be honest it’s not actually sewing - it’s just treading this line through the already stitched seam.

From the time I opened the package to the time I got out of the truck with it completed was just under 3 hours.

I did it on my second Gen. Totally worth it! Can't believe Toyota puts such cheap steering wheels on Tundras

That’s not a long time at all. So, if I understand you correctly, the holes are already made in the lining, so the only thing that I would have to do is threading the needle through the holes?

The wrap comes with a stitched seam around the outside. So basically, as you can see in the second picture, you just go back and forth threading the needle through the stitching loops.

The only time I put the needle through the leather was at the beginning and end of a line - and even then I went through a hole that was already there from the stitching.

Looks awesome! Anyone have a link to the wrap that others have done with red stitching?

Hah. Yes I did. I was testing it out to see what my truck reads as empty... ended up putting 31 gallons in the morning. So basically I have a 6ish gallon buffer.

I did mine back in January. Best trick is to take the airbag out and then reinstall after the wheel is wrapped.

Double sided tape works wonders too.

Come to think of it I took the entire steering wheel off and did it inside on the couch while watching tv and cooking dinner.

IIRC we ALL have about a 6 gal "hidden" reserve due to in-tank fuel pump cooling requirements!

In the Amazon link from OP, there is pic of one with red stitching in the reviews (dated 7-7-18). Looks pretty good, very RED.

The red stitching reminded me of a Focus RS or Civic Type-R interior. A bit boy racer for my advanced age..;-)>

Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
That job would drive me insane! I despise little tedious things such as that, lol. Great job though, looks good.

Guessing an upholstery shop would/could do install for 1-2 hrs charge. May be well worth it..........
