Took off my plastic running boards and finally installed my Nfab stainless nerf bars. Sometimes you have to substitute looks for functionality I guess

I believe that those who plan on keeping "the chrome" then the stainless Nfab's look great. When I bought my Nfab's I thought hard on wether or not to do just that ... purchase chrome door handles and mirror caps or leave the black stuff on and go with the black emblems and bars. I went black, to each their own ... yours looks great, enjoy!!!

I thought about going black steps but then I heard they do not hold up to long with the rust factor. I already had chrome handles and mirror caps because it being a limited. I had a chrome grille then switched it out for a black one. I am trying to balance out the black and the chrome on the truck. Now that the Nfab's are on I might be leaning back towards the chrome grille again. Not sure but it might look good with the bars, handles, emblems and rear chrome bumper.

Yeah, I'm located in California so I feel rust shouldn't be an issue for me but you're right, if I lived in an area with alot of water or snow the stainless would hold up better. As for your black grill vs chrome grill thoughts ... I think it would still look great black as you've still got enough chrome to work with your new bars. Nice to have options though.

I agree.. Cali and black it would of been. I spent 2 summers and lived in El Cerrito CA in 1983 for a year. My father lived out west for 20 years. Niner faithful living in Jersey

Ha ha.... Small world. I went to Albany middle school. I lived on Leneve place over looking Wildcat Canyon. On top of Mosher I believe. That big as hill of a road if I remember correctly. Other than that born and raised in New Jersey. I have been to LA, obviously SF but never and always wanted to go to San Diego. Maybe one day.

Albany middle, did that school have a tall circular slide? And yes, Mosher Lane runs up the hill from San Pablo Ave to Arlington Blvd. So I'm assuming you spent sometime at Tilden Park as well ... I've never been to the Northeast states. Perhaps someday I'll have the pleasure to do so.

Not sure about the slide. I can't remember. Yes Tilden Park rings a bell. Are you a Niner fan? I am a diehard. I have a brick in the fan walk going into Levi's Stadium. No idea what to expect with Chip Kelly. To be continued

My older brother lived out there for 5 years. He went to St Mary's high school. I'm a really big Metallica fan as well. Little did I know when I was probably out there in 83 they were living in El Cerrito. Crazy....... I miss California. Yes you should check the east coast out sometime. Hit New York and the Jersey Shore. Well time for bed 3 hours ahead of you getting up early tomorrow. More Tundra stuff to come I'm sure

Born and raised in the Bay Area but not a Niner fan. Oddly enough I like the Dolphins. The only local teams I follow are the Giants and Warriors. Hard to try and figure out what Chip will bring to the Niners. Letting Harbaugh go was a mistake in my opinion.
