Please be kind in responding to this ignorant question!! This is my first attempt at installing an LED light bar, which came with no instructions.

It came with an on/off switch. There are three wires coming from the relay going into the three-pin switch. I’m assuming one is ground, another is the 12v, and I’m not sure what the other is for.

I have a two-pin rocker switch that’s the exact same style that @TundraTex sends with his FRAC harness. My question is can I use it instead of the three-pin switch that came with the LED light bar, so the switch style is the same as my other two switches I already have installed from the FRAC harness? If so, how would I wire it? I’m assuming the ground would be attached to one pin. Would I combine and attach the other two wires to the other pin, or only attach the 12v wire and leave the other one “dangling”? I just don’t want to wire it improperly and destroy the universe!

Thanks in advance for any help!

The 3rd wire is to illuminate the switch. Yes, you can use the 2 pin, obviously w/o the 3rd wire it won't be illuminated. The 3rd wire is disregarded and capped off, not hooked to power.

Ahhhh...thank you SO MUCH!!! Makes total sense since the switch that came with the LED bar has green and red lights for “on/off”.

+1, I have the MicTuning. AirNb makes on too. I also had the MicTunings in Tacoma. Mine is mounted left of steering wheel. Pic is just with dash lights on. My light bars came with switches but too big to fit Tundra openings so they sit unused.

Thanks friends! These are great suggestions. A few years down the road when I really start sinking money on mods (like I haven't already LOL), I definitely want more LEDs with an illuminated switch set-up for my hunts, and will definitely seek more advice then. For now, this non-illuminated black switch will do the trick, and I'm going to mount it on the "ledge" like the FRAC switches. You can't even see the switches in that location, but having them all one type will still be "aesthetically pleasing" and satisfy my OCD LOL. I'm going to post the LED light bar on the "What have you done" thread once I get it all installed this weekend.

    Again, much appreciated!!

One thing I did find out when I started looking more closely at the wiring of the two-pin switch is the ground wire is the one not used, for anyone possibly running into this same scenario...might be common sense for some, but I just about used the ground wire on the two-pin switch, which would be akin to touching a positive and negative wire together. NO BUENO BRO!

Sure did! I did a couple of other things to the Tundra this weekend, nothing compared to the other mods I’ve seen on this site, but I’ll post ‘em to the “What have you done” thread later today nonetheless.
