No plans yet on trails or camping spots. Worst case scenario would be the same trails we ran last time. With the option of splitting up and the big dawgs getting on some more technical stuff.

If we do the same stuff as last time, your truck can easily handle the terrain. Plus you have a very high clearance.

Easy = where’s the mall parking lot in Anza
Just joking, most people are looking for some dirt and scenery for the kids and family.

    Possible pew pew action

Mr Porshetech29 you are correct. We’re just trying to get feelers for who’s interested and if a lot of people are down then we’ll go into full blown new thread mode :fistbump:

    No he doesn't.

haha we were all amateurs once. I'm definitively down to hang out with you guys. I know the entire park very well. Except truckhaven. I haven't explored that area yet.

but if you guys get more than about 10 trucks to show up, then I'll have to bow out LOL I'll wheel with anybody, but I'm not a fan of sht shows

For the JT trip people looking to camp at Jumbo rocks will need to make a reservation early.

If a few Tundras want to explore with me, I know of some fun trails but also a huge camping spot on BLM land. I've been there with 2wd Tacomas, but never with Tundras, so I'd like to pre-run it and make sure everyone will be able to get to the campsite as well as over the trail and into the park.
I'd prefer to take 4x4 Tundras who are open to wheeling in 2wd to check if the 2wd tundras can get by. There's soft sand in spots, and the trail has some rocks to get up and over hence my concern.

    Sweet!

I know a very fun and long route that will probably add some pin stripes, I also have a shorter more direct route with zero risk of pin stripes. We've got options! But if we're too trek out there might as well make it fun right!

I hope the best for your mom's surgery and recovery, and I'm glad you're able to go help out after, if she and dad ask you.

Don't give up on joining us, if you can't make the next one; it's not like that. I think it's because we hang around together on the forum, but "new" additions fit in no problem. As long as you bring a willing attitude, and play well with others, you join us when the stars align. We'll be happy too meet you!
    Bahahahahahaha! :fistbump:
That's a lot going on. I hope you motorcycle side-kick heals well, and that you find a new apprentice and get back on track. My response to @JDL17CM4x4 applies to you too; come join us when you can!

I think this in enough to start a new thread, @Marty McFly.

    My hero! :)
Exactly this. We have a great time; however, so far it's been more socializing and casual one-handed driving, not many technical spots. And those we've usually made it through without spotting.

I'd love to stretch my abilities! Because I'm one of few running 2WD with stock tires I air down, I'm grateful to have so many buddies participating in routes I can do.

That said, I feel willing and able for most of what I've seen in the Anza area other than big swales or stretches of loose sand, and large, loose, boulders.

And I carry MaxTrax, rope, have good attachment points... and am willing to buy whatever beer the most experienced drivers want me to have on hand, in case I need a hand getting out. :anonymous: In case that makes a difference to my entré.

There is nothing wrong with a stock truck and 2wd is ok as long as you're with other 4wd trucks who can pull you if needed. The biggest thing though is tires. If I were you I would get a good set of AT tires.

That said, you can definitely get through a lot of the trails in Anza. You just have to be careful and watch out for the rocks.

I'll put it to you this way, we dragged a 2wd rental f150 on street tires 300 miles though Mojave and Death Valley a couple years ago...

Just no spacer lift. If anyone has a spacer lift and they break their coilover, I will pop my tailgate and drink beer while I watch them freak out
