Brake Fluid Reservoir Level

Top it off (as in max it to the rim before overflowing)? Or, just take it to the ‘max/min lines’?

Reason for asking is a theory about keeping any air (thus moisture) out of the reservoir by maxing to the rim.

 

Just to the max line. The small amount of moisture in that space isn't enough to be concerned with.

If you do top it off, remember to suck some out before changing your brakes when that time comes. As brakes wear, the fluid level drops to compensate for pad wear .When the Pistons are retracted back, as is necessary to accommodate new pads, the overage will spill out.
