OK so I just purchased this 2010 5.7 CM yesterday. One owner, non-smoker, 70yrs old, bought it to pull his mustang race car on a 20' trailer. I met up with him yesterday and we talked for about an hour. Fellow veteran. It has 101k mi. TRD big brake kit, TRD supercharger, 4.30 rear end, leather seats, all the bells and whistles. No leaks anywhere, even checked the notorious cam tower seals. Drives great. Paid $16,200 here in Houston. Good deal?

Looks like a clean truck. If you are happy, it sounds like a great deal. Nice upgrades too.

Yeah I'm curious to see what my mpg will be. He said it doesn't change until you put your foot in it, then it drops exponentially.

Welcome, if it's 4x4 then I'd say with the SC it's great deal.

No it's 2WD, but everything I have seen in my area with less than 120k mi was over $18k for anything decent. Add about $2k for 4WD. These trucks seem to hold their value and stealerships seem to think they are made of solid gold. I didn't mind paying $16k private party from someone I can actually get the history from.

I thought the mpg would have been horrible but I got 17mpg driving from Austin to Houston yesterday, A/C on full blast doing 80mph most of the way. Can't complain there, and the power is AWESOME! I do need to get the engine compartment cleaned and there is some oxidation in the paint on the roof but other than that this truck is just what the Dr ordered. I'm a happy camper so far.

Did the PO do the 100K Supercharger maintenance?

I'm not sure. I have all the receipts and he just spent $2400 changing the headlights and doing all the required maintenance for 100k mi so I'm hoping he did. I will go through the receipts when I get home today

So I did some digging and I don't think the PO had the maintenance done so that is my next task. I saw that Magnusson supplies the supercharger for Toyota and I have emailed them to find out exactly what I need to get to have this done properly. I'm told the nose drive and special oil are all I need for the next 100k mi. Looked easy enough to tackle myself.
