2018 Toyota Tundra SR Double Cab - 2-wheel drive
Here is my new 2018 Tundra SR before the updates
    IMG_1006.jpg

    1 - Step Rails
    IMG_1007.jpg

    2 - Camper Shell
    IMG_1072.jpg

3 - Bed Rug on floor and tailgate
    IMG_1084.jpg

    4 - 12volt to 120v inverter inside of camper
    IMG_1075.jpg

5 - Fog Lights - after market - Fit perfect and plugs existed
    Bought from https://www.carid.com/2018-toyota-t...s-965506994.html?parentsubmodel[]=SUBMODEL|SR
    IMG_1184.jpg

6 - Fog Light switch & Relay - from Toyota
84140-07113 Headlamp Switch W/ O MIRROR SIGNALS, W/ FOG LAMP

A friend installed the switch as I don't have all the stuff to pull the steering wheel.
    IMG_1185.jpg

7 - Entune Plus radio (replaced my Entune Basic), this I bought a 2016 one with the SiriusXM module. I used my old SiriusXM antenna I had from my old radio (magnetic) and a Antenna that would receive the HD Weather/HD Traffic
    IMG_1187.jpg

8 - Always on, USB plugs from Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FD2Z6GF?ie=UTF8

The plug fit perfectly into the panel, no cutting. I ran the hot all the way to the battery, ground I connected of course to a ground on the body.
    IMG_1188.jpg

9 - Front Rail for hanging things
    IMG_1197.jpg

10 - 9/17/18 just added the Intermittent Wiper Switch switch is the one for Wiper Switch with Intermittent (my current setup is Low and high only)

From Toyota: 84652-02710 Wiper Switch W/ INTERMITTENT

    Here is the old one
    IMG_1199.jpg

    Here is the new one
    IMG_1200.jpg
The above was fairly easy, just had to turn the steering wheel around to get to the clips

11 - 9/19/18 - Cheap better cup holders for center console. I got this one from here:
    https://www.tundratalk.net/forums/interior-mods/687146-13-fix-those-terrible-cup-holders.html

    This is before
    IMG_1204.jpg

Here is the rubber coupling that I had to cut
    IMG_1205.jpg

    Now the final product
    IMG_1206.jpg

Here is with a 44oz cup in it! Very nice
    IMG_1209.jpg

12 - 9/20/18 - Installed backup camera viewer at any time

Switch I have on order is this one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017C2ZUR6?ie=UTF8

And the wiring for the Entune Radio (no cutting needed) from here
    https://www.anytimebackupcamera.com/product-page/camera-override-dongle-28-position-1

This is the adapter I bought
    IMG_1207.jpg

    Adapter installed onto the radio
    IMG_1208.jpg

Truck running without it in reverse, but just hooking up wires
    IMG_1210.jpg
This is where I have the wires come out from, but the switch I purchased was too tight going in, I think the tabs are too wide. Sent an email to the company to find out more details.
    IMG_1211.jpg

Forgot to show how the switch looks for the backup camera
    IMG_1313.jpg

13 - 10/10/18 - Added my Amateur Radio with Remote head

    Located radio under driver's seat
    IMG_1311.jpg
Remote head installed. Old Motorola speaker I will re-paint later
    IMG_1309.jpg

14 - Of course, got my Tundras.Com window decal, so that is one more item :)

    IMG_1245.jpg

    15 - 10/11/18 Tailgate lock

    Bought the McGard Tailgate Lock
    IMG_1317.jpg

Here is what it looks like without it
    IMG_1318.jpg

Now with it (super easy to install!)
    IMG_1319.jpg

16 - 10/20/18 - Old CHP Motorola Speaker paint and mount

Face of speaker prior to painting

    IMG_1349.jpg

Now painted with the exact same color as truck - I actually used sharpies for the black and red :) Went to this website for the paint http://www.automotivetouchup.com/

    IMG_1350.jpg

    Speaker prior to mounting

    IMG_1351.jpg

Now speaker mounted. Will clean up wiring later :)

Thank you for the welcome. I have been here and seeing what I can find to do and starting doing the ones I wanted.

Can't wait to get more done. My wife wants to get me black rims and a guard for the front at some time, but that will be later along the way.....so far! :)

running boards , TRD sway bar and tundra 08 SR5 wheels. FRACmod, pop&lock and backup sensors installed .
As an SR owner myself great job ! You may want to look at the FRAC for your rear view camera adding a front view one as well . I want to do the bigger head unit for better vision on my FRAC system .

I wasn't aware of the FRAC system. So many different ideas and suggestions, I missed it.

I'll see how this other system I already ordered does and report back. No front camera for mine.....yet, but one never knows. If I got one, I would have to find a place to mount it.

Thank you, making it my own little by little :) Yes I did save getting the SR, I know the others were much more, depending on what you get on it. Just amazing how much is charged for every little accessory you add to it.

I like the power inverter in the back, maybe you can shed some light on how you did, maybe others on here would like to know as well :)

I actually had it done for me. I do know the cable goes from the battery to a circuit breaker in the engine compartment, then they ran the cable I believe under the truck which it came in the back panel where they mounted it on the side. If you want a picture of it looking directly at it, instead of from the end, I can get it.

I should look where the cable makes in into the panel too :)

For me, having the inverter there helps when my wife and I go tent camping, blow up the air mattress, if we need additional lights, use any tools if needed, or whatever, including charging a phone too.

I was given some information from Anytime Backup Camera website, that they made a discount code for the tundra forum which will give everyone 10% off their orders. The code is "TUNDRA10" and it can be applied to any item at checkout

    https://www.anytimebackupcamera.com/

Mine is on its way, I hope to be able to install it this week (or by the weekend at least).

I think I'm gonna steal your idea and mount an inverter in the bed!

9/17/18 - just replaced the Windshield Wiper switch that came with the truck with just high/low speeds to one that does intermittent switch. I posted pictures of before and after in the first post #10 on my list.

It was an easy thing to do, just 2 screws on the plastic piece on the steering wheel, press in 2 clips to remove electrical plugs and on press in clip that help the old one in, the reverse the process. It all works great and only cost me the switch!!!

Love it! You have the 4x4 and TRD, mine doesn't but basically the same truck! Take whatever, steal, whatever, love this forum with the suggestions too.

I guess that is why the SR is the "cheapest" on the Tundras. Its funny, the wiring all exists for the fog lights and the intermittent wipers and the 2 switches don't cost that much, but I bet if I had Toyota add them, it would cost a bunch. The one service manager at Toyota had no clue if either one was possible, interesting, one would think they would know more about the trucks than anyone!

I saw that post and said, that is easy! So, I did it and it worked. Going to try my morning soda in it tomorrow on my way to work. :)

I love it, that is why I had to post it too.I am glad you liked it too. I am always looking for something more to add....of course without spending a bunch. I used 16 gauge wire to the battery and the ground went to a screw by the drivers door

Yea I’ve been trying to find a suitable charger for weeks. They’re all ugly and bulky or small and weak, This is a much better idea, + the “always on”, I love these forums lol

You can always put a switch on it above the panel to turn it off when you don't want it on too. I have thought of that as well, but always on is great for sure. These forums are great for sure!
