I have the new micro LEDs on my GLK. They are a remarkable upgrade over the halogens (although in this case behind Benz stock projectors). I'm not huge on built in fans but they have been performing great since I installed them about 6 months ago. A snap to install, perfect fit and excellent output. Second photo is a comparison to the color of the halogen 'city light'.

Since I have the SR5 and therefore halogen bulbs, what would I need to do to convert to these LED bulbs?

my understanding is VLED micro system is a direct replacement, just swap them (like many LEDs on the market).
you may get angry messages from other members about how awful of a person you are for not installing proper projector while switching bulbs.
I just worry about the longevity of the little fans on them, who knows. I have no complaints about the set I put into the GLK. It improved night visibility by a huge factor. My S/O has never gotten flashed since installed. Reflector housings may be a different story...

Thanks for the response. I've tried to read through many of the threads that discuss changing halogens to LEDs, but I have zero electrical knowledge and I get lost quickly. I would definitely prefer changing over the headlight units but just think I'd FUBAR them up.

yes as long as you use the selector on the VLED website you will end up with a plug and play solution. They arent the cheapest around, but i've always found their products to be good quality.
