    If somebody installed the following:

    TRD Pro Suspension,
    TRD Pro Cat Back Exhaust
    TRD Pro Skid Plate
    TRD Pro Rims
    TRD Pro Grill
TRD Pro Shift Knob and Floor mats

Then would they have a TRD Pro? I know it didn't come from the factory like this; it's not going to have the seats and missing a badge or 2 and it is not going to have the stamped TRD Pro bed side but you could replace it with a sticker. And if you put on a bed side TRD Pro sticker would you then be a poser?

There is a series of Youtube videos that show how to essentially install all the Pro parts on an SR5 and I know they are basically commercials talking about how great the products are but at the end they seem to claim that now the truck is a true TRD Pro. Just like to get some thoughts on this.

To me, if you have the PRO suspension, you have a PRO. All the rest is cosmetic. Well, add the exhaust in there as well.

Eh. Just realistically not a Pro, but if someone's heart is on transforming their setup into one, have at it- but the dealer will not recognize it as a Pro.

I would say no. Doing that would be akin to how back in the muscle car days, owners would build clones, like the Chevelles, Camaros, Shelbys and others. It would be a TRD Pro clone which is fine as long a you're not trying to present it as genuine.

If I were to install all of the items you posted on my SR5, I'd consider my SR5 just that ... a SR5 with Pro components.

It would make me laugh when I saw a BMW 3 series with M3 badges. Just because you can swap out stuff to upgrade your ride doesn't make it what it isn't.

You are functionally doing the same thing that's done at the factory. So I don't see why it's not a Pro. Everything is same except some cosmetic stuff.

When it comes to selling your truck though, it won't be listed as a Pro. So your resale value will be more in line with other modded trucks.

By the way, if you really wanted an inferno Pro and wanted to build it from inferno SR5, don't. The cost will be higher than getting a Pro.

This is really just semantics. If your truck identifies as a Pro, it should be able to use the Pro's bathroom.

I think I agree with Sean that it is not a pro. That said if you want to build your own have at it but I think you could do better than a pro with the same investment. There are better parts out there. If you really want a pro track one down and wait it out.
I saw a pro clone pulling out of the gas station a few months back. He was moving so not sure if the suspension was done or just the cosmetics. Everything looked good at first except the bedside decal. It jumped out at me immediately to the point where I considered removing the letters from the stamp on mine. IMO without the stamp it just looked awful. After that I noticed the bumper match was a shade off etc. not sure I would've noticed without looking closely. Nice truck and if the owner is happy that's what really matters.

Changing your non Pro to Pro like would be a waste of money and would be more expensive unless you found someone changing out all of there pro components for aftermarket. Which would be a waste as well. The two should just swap trucks.

Yes, please don't put a PRO decal on it if you do change all the parts. That would be posing.

Haha! Understand and tend to agree. But if I have all the pro components on it I still can't put a pro sticker on the bed?
Not that I would do this. Just wondering. :)

As I said before, people that change their vehicles with PRO components is fine, but once you start labeling yourself as such with decals or emblems you open yourself to ridicule. Ultimately it's your truck and if you don't mind people talking/laughing at you then have at it.

I sent an email to tim lentz asking if toyota would build me a pro with all the options of a limited. a representitive contacted me within a few days and basically said it was not possible. so I ordered a limited with every freaking option available. yes I know it cost a lot to add the bilstein shocks and change the grill and bumper ends and door handles and mirror covers but wtf I want what I want. and if toyota comes out with a trd pro with with 500 hp and every option they can jamb into the thing, guess what I'm gonna order one.

30 years from now an original 2015 PRO at Mecam's will sell for at least double than a SR5 with PRO add ons with same miles and condition. ie= Not a PRO. If you want a PRO, buy one. Just sayin..........

Hopefully it will have an even better sound system. JBL is very good. I used to go onsite to perform calibrations at Harmon on Balboa Blvd in San Fernando Valley. MFR of JBL, Harmon, Harmon Kardon, Infinity, etc. Infinity... now we're talking.

The one part you can't legally get is the Vin, so no...it would not be a pro..but it would look and act exactly like one as last I looked, the Vin didn't change the performance of the vehicle....

I love my Pro. But it's not because of the cosmetics, the bed stamp and badging aren't why I bought it. So, while adding the parts won't make a standard SR5 a Pro, it'll probably be close enough. ;)

I agree with the m5 scenario but the m5 and the amg's etc have major performance advantages and huge price increases above the little boy wanna beez but one thing the pro doesnt do is give you a 500 hp engine. its all just a billy stein shock change an interior stitch and a tramp stamp on the qtrs . its not like you were taking a chevelle and throwing on an SS emblem and wishing you had 475 hp under the hood. a pro is all cosmetic add ons. now if the heart was a 500hp naturally asperated demon from hell then any attempt to make it a tundra trd pro would be just a waste of time. and thats exactly why Toyota should put a 5oo hp or more under hood with all the best electronics available (steal them from lexus) and that will seperate the boys from the men.

Don't need ear pain, but then again between listening to overly loud stereo in my younger days and USMC fighter jets, my hearing sucks somewhat. I still can tell the difference of what sucks. What is the Mark Levison system? I don't need to spend a gazillion $ but would like to upgrade at some point.

What OP wants is a sleeper PRO. The looks of a stock SR5 yet the PRO components (that matter; suspension w-w/o exhaust). All that other crap is nice but doesn't make you faster off road.

Also for us non-PRO'ers out there who want PRO comps, things in life may change after buying a non-PRO...ie: new job, promotion, inheritance, etc. Why sell a truck just to buy a newer one with PRO components. Buy the crap you want, or buy aftermarket. Go long travel, deavers, such.....

For me, I bought an SR5 cuz its what would fit in my budget...a year later, if i was patient, i probably could have afforded a PRO...but hey, my SR5 is still badass in my own opinion.

I would like a Pro, but settled for the SR5 TRD off road, in Inferno none the less.. that color is growing on me. I might change the hood bulge to a color matched and a pro grill color matched, TRD exhaust goes on tomorrow morning. Need to change the wheels to the Pro wheels.. Can I call it FOUX PRO?
