Every time they get more expensive and people keep buying them. They'll stop going up when people stop buying them, which hasn't happened yet. So the answer is "we" are insane.

 

They can charge that because no one pays the $1000+ in cash upfront; it's rolled into your monthly plan so it's less noticeable. Kinda like a escrow in your mortgage.

I think people are insane. I have never liked apple products. Ever. My wife used to use Iphones, but each one experienced some sort of terminal failure within a couple of years. She finally switched to Samsung and has never looked back. She is a realtor so she is constantly on her phone.

But back to the insanity - people are driven by all of the latest gee-wiz gadgets and gizmos. It is also part of what has made truck prices so insane. Actually, prices of everything insane.

 

Ill tell u guys how good the new iphone max is. I unfortunatly have to jump from android to apple as its the best way of communicating with the wife and kids. Facetime is a nice feature especiallly when i can call my kid on his ipad or where ever he may be.

 

I bought a Samsung A5 for $400 Canadian pesos. Works better than The Woman's $1200 crapple iphone 6. Figure that out lol

 

Because it's a Samsung. A better phone......haha. Most of us at work have Samsung's. Not one Apple product to be found and we like hi tech gadgets. You hear "MacIntrash" a lot in our lab for good reason.....

I just finished paying for my Itelephone 5s, it makes calls, rings enough to annoy me, and lets me shitpost on Tundras.com. Good enough for me. Never had a cell phone before 2years ago.

 

I think that it is a crazy world that we live in where people are financing their freakin' phones.

 

I wasn't even thinking of that... but yes, that too. LOL. Biggest complaint about Androids besides the battery having to be replaced every year, is we can't send videos to eachother. Every time we go wheeling, the Iphones in the group share videos. We can airdrop or even text it. How the hell do we send videos to droids? Burn it onto a dvd and mail it US postal????

 

Joon ... if you use google photos (free) then it automatically uploads all your media including videos to your google photo account. then you can just go into google photo apps and create a hyperlink and send by text to recipient. that is what i do. apple imessages uses apple servers and is integrated in their sms app to assist with apple users when sending videos. by nature mms (text) messages have to use a compression and that is why video sucks. but this all depends on data reception. with apple users, they use airdrop to compensate for lack of data connection (off roading in the middle of nowhere) but android has nfc functionality that allows bluetooth video transfer. its a couple more steps but its a solution (not as easy as airdrop). Just trying to help.

 

Yeah, we started using google drive. But it's a pain in the ass, time consuming, and difficult because I'm partially retarded.

 

Smh, my old ass iPhone 7 does what I want it to do, text and talk. If my old ones weren’t messing up which I think apple did that for a reason so you’ll upgrade, I’d still have them. I don’t seek attention like most people nowadays.

 

I was an android guy but hated how long it would take for the handset makers and cell companies to roll out the latest updates. I bought an iPhone 8+ a few months back (upgrading my 6s+) because it was on sale. I hate the prices of these phones but I like the fact that Apple updates roll out for everybody at the same time, it's not dependent on 3rd parties. That being said, there is no way in hell that I'd buy a $1500 phone that'll be outdated in a year.
Being a disabled vet with weird ass symptoms, I do like the new Apple Watch EKG function. Going to wait for some honest reviews on its reliability and probably pick up one of those... the cheap one though.

 

before they were a "smart" and powerful pocket computer with access to almost all the information in the world. you can still get those "dumb" phones if you're longing for those days.

 

I use a Windows 10 phone with Cortana and Continuum. When it dies I'll buy another one off the internet.

I’d have to admit after everyones against the purchase. But I’ll be preordering mine tomorrow haha. I’m overdue for a new one i think. I’m on the iPhone 6 still.
