Front sway bar end links and King coilovers

Hi,

after getting alignment today I noticed the sway bar end links are pretty close to the King coilovers. They are not touching but pretty close. How close can they be ?

mine are about the same. they didn't touch at all when i was out in the dirt last weekend. you should be okay.

 

Pull that sway bar out bro!!! I took mine off after I installed my coils. Works great.

I'm contemplating putting my front sway bar back. Handles better on the road, more of a sportier feel especially around corners. If i can't fix the sway with the secondaries, it'll be back on.

You should be fine. The shock and sway link all bolt to the lower a-arm and will travel basically on the same plane. Find a tall curb and drive on it with one tire to simulate a full stuff, and use a jack up front to lift the frame and simulate full droop. Should give you a pretty good visual. Good luck

I was worried when I first did the install also but zero problems! Seems to be normal! I have never removed my sway bar.

Sway bars are for cars!. I still have both front and rear sways, gonna put them on if I decide to tow but with both off it feels so much better, rides better articulates like a goats legs on imperfections on and off road

 

I was thinking of replacing my front sway bar with a Heftier one from a Sequioa to help with body roll.
I may be in the minority here... so maybe I could get feedback on "Urban Assault" Street driving aside form the fun off road...

Driving in Vegas is Nuts. Out of sheer Luck, I survived some ass hat crossing in front of me. I almost went OVER. Luckily for me, I looked down when my phone rang & ended up unintentially slowing Way down without really meaning to. I was able to do basically do an uncontrolled Drift without Rolling Over.

Seems to happen here a ton here in Vegas, so I was wondering how to have a much better "Car" type handling for the Unexpected.
Has anybody done the Sequoia Sway Bay Mod on a Tundra with King Adjustable Shocks set to Full Soft ?
If so, is it worth the Cost to get some "Urban Handling" and not rolling our Rigs because of some Ass Hat crossing in front of us ?

 

I'm keeping mine on for now. I will monitor it to see if it rubs or hits the coilovers but from all the pictures I found online, they are all about the same. Even Fox or some TRD pro coilovers.

 

i got my kings on and alignment done this week thought all was well until i went to turn into a parking spot.
that is the first time i made a sharp turn and i heard a loud noise. i got under the truck to see what it was and there are 2 scratches on the bottom of the coilover from where the end of the sway bar hit it. is that some thing that can be fixed with another alignment ? or do i need to cut some of the sway bar off ? i was going to put my 35's on day after tomorrow and cut the cab mounts, i can cut some of the sway also. i would really like to leave it on.

 

I have Kings with 295/70/18 and the front sway bar on. I have no problems with this set up. Sway bar doesn't hit at all.

 

i did a bunch of google searching and i couldn't find anything. so i assume it could be fixed with an alignment (i have spc uppers), since i am the only one that has the issue. i will check and make sure it is tight when i mess with my tires, i have 35x12.5x17 on icon speed six ready to put on. i just told the shop i would put them on when i did the alignment cause i knew i would have to cut the cab mounts, and mess with the liner. i might just go ahead and trim the sway bar down some, if it is not loose.

 

i put my 35's on today and can tell just by looking at the tires, when turned straight, that the bottom of the tire is angled in about 1/2" to 1" more on the bottom than the top. not straight vertically, i will take it back tomorrow and get them to do another alignment. i din't mess with trimming the ends of my swaybar, hopefully they will get it right. i did cut the cab mounts, and re-positioned the front bumper liner, and appear to have clearance, at least as far as i can turn it without the swaybar issue, lol.

 

Did your issue get fixed? My shop is getting sway bar extensions or something to help with the hitting of the kings. But I have a 7in BDS lift, I wanna try to take the sway bar off when I off road to see how it is. I'm concered since im lifted so high, it wont be good

I ended up rounding the angles of the sway bar with a grinder. Gave me a bit more clearance. so far so good.
Similar to the TRD sport front sway bar.
