So just curious what other people's interest are? Just kinda fun to see what our other brothers and sisters are into besides are common one of Tundras.

I'll kick it off. I love to landscape after buying our home and wanting to make our yard different than all the other neighbors (kinda like our tundras here ;)) so I consumed myself with learning about rare plants and landscaping. Because of this, I am actively also on the International Palm Society forum and South African Cycad Society forum. I have about 96 species of palms in the ground and am into all things palms, cycads, aloes, agaves, and succulents. The following is a photo of our backyard and one of the frontyard driveway.

    Cheers

    Tin

I really enjoy working in the yard when I can. I'm addicted to Japanese maples. IMG_20180913_082152116.jpg Here are some banana leaf palms that I started from seed.

I'm in a Professional Shit Stirrers forum/site. Most people wouldn't like it because of the political sarcasm, off-handed insults, half naked women pictures, dark humor, and brutal honesty.

nice warren. what zone are you. i am a 9b so my ensete ventricosum (red bananas) burns from the cold winter. i think you are coastal so its nice to have that cool coastal influence. i am super jealous that you can grow japanese maples. i love them but i can't grow because of my extreme temperatures. as for your bananas, its awesome when you can say you grew them from seed. they are like your kids in a sense. i have a few plants i grew from seed that forum friends have sent me my south africa and those are my pride and joy as well. nice yard brother!

would love to see pics of your japanese maples. :)

I frequently read and occasionally post on https://jetboaters.net which mostly (but not exclusively) deals with Yamaha jet boats. It has a great community of helpful boaters very similar to this community.

If you happen to be looking for a boat, I would highly suggest giving the Yamaha’s a look. We love ours!

I forget what zone I'm in, 14? Some of my less protected bananas can burn from cold. Generally the high canopy from the Redwood trees keeps the inversion layer from occurring above the bananas. My brother in law got me started with the palms and I'm on my 4th or 5th generation. I've only 10 or 11 Maples, 1 that I started from seed left and 1 Korean maple.
I'm also into bamboo. I've got 8 or 9 different species. I took 2 old fiberglass bath tubs out remodeling our house and buried them to contain Phyllostachys nigra. Unfortunately, one of them just went to seed. Now I've gotta learn how to start bamboo from seed 'cause it's gonna die. I'm kinda bummed that a cotton tail ate my Vivax start.
