    Hey gang,
I need a phone cradle that I can place in the dash well on my 2017 Tundra.
Looking for a weighted (bean bag) type that will
stay put, fit an iphone SE in portrait and landscape mode.
    Any good suggestions out there?

Not sure about having anything that would go flying in an abrupt braking scenario. I have the ProClip USA mount with ProClip USA iPhone X adjustable holder. It mounts to the dash. It's secure and holds the phone in a very visual but unobtrusive location. They are on the expensive side, but well worth it in my opinion. Go to www.proclipusa.com. They have numerous configurations for various phone types. Sorry didn't have a picture with my phone in the cradle.

Hmm, never thought about the flying around the cab business.
    Good point to ponder.
I take it the holder has a self stick pad?
The well made hondo garage attachment is awesome.
But will I miss one important vent flow?

big fan of the hondo mount. it does not restrict the vent. you just won't be able to close or turn it.

The mount gets pried between the plastic trim and the dash itself. It comes with a small pry tool that makes for easy installation. There is also a self adhesive strip on the back but I didn't use it.

I went with the Pro Clip to use with the Ram mount I had laying around. Very sturdy. I looked at the Hondo but didn't want to lock my vent in place.

I’m getting interested in the Proclip
I notice that there is no lower shelf for the phone to rest on and it appears that you have to set the space width for your phone.
Does it hold the phone secure enough so that it can not slip through? Do you ever have to reset the space?

The groves in the sides narrow and come to a close at the bottom. Mine is the adjustable one for a iPhone X with a case. Set your width, tighten down the screws, and it’s good to go. I noticed mine was starting to loosen up a bit after a month. Even though it was getting a bit too loose for my comfort, it never slipped through. I just readjusted and tightened back down and have been good to go now for several months. It is a solid mount/cradle. I’ve never had an issue with my phone dropping through or coming out of the cradle to include taking it over some rough trails.

I usually forget my phone at home, so I usually don't need a place to hang it in my truck! Drives my wife crazy.

I looked at all of them and didn’t love any design so I ended up buying a mount that sits in a cup holder. Works great and isn’t permanent but it does cause you to look down sometimes, so not perfect.

I like that. I have a modified mount for my current phone, but when I upgrade I think I will go this route.

I used the Proclip base with a VAVA magnetic phone holder set right in the middle of it. The glue came apart after a couple of months from the holder and used Gorilla glue to hold it in place. Works great. With this combo it holds firmly and you can put it in any position. Ultra quick also.

Proclip is really good. Take a look at Rokform. I use the case with the bike mount and their magnetic car mounts are really good.
