I've seen similar numbers as well, driving back home from Chicago through Wis. Had plenty of time and it was a beautiful day so I set the cruise about 67-68, by the time I got to Escanaba I was at 22mpg....then I hit road construction on US-2, ended up just under 20mpg when I pulled in the driveway.

Any mods will give marginal increase in mpg... At best, if you can increase mpg by 2 you will save $3k in gas over 100,000 miles not including cost of the mod. Your life will not change, you will not even notice this $
Do a mod bc you like it
haha stop worrying about mpg, get a bigger fuel tank and enjoy the 5.7
